Goldring DR50 Headphones $33 & Others + Shipping @ Jaben Audio

43

Hello again,

We're offering some massive discounts on stock clearance headphones for the Goldring series headphones. The headphones will unfortunately come with only 1 month warranty.

Goldring DR100 ($33) - https://jaben.com.au/products/gol-dr100?_pos=2&_sid=ebe23073…

Goldring NS1500 ($99) - https://jaben.com.au/products/gol-ns1500?_pos=3&_sid=ebe2307…

The DR50 & DR100 great budget options for open-back headphones that are super comfortable for long hours usage but are not suitable for outdoor use as people will be able to hear the music playing. I won't say that these are the best headphones that are gonna blow your mind, but for the price that we are offering, I believe that they are a great budget option for at home listening.

Cheers,
Jaben Melbourne Team

1 month warranty doesn't sound correct?

  • The headphones will unfortunately come with only 1 month warranty.

Why? Are these refurbished units, factory rejects, surplus stock, box damaged, fire damaged, …? What's the catch?

    • This is probably why

Please Note: Batteries are not included with the headphone. These have been removed as some batteries were faulty. The item has been reduced in price because of this

    • Hi, these are stock clearance from the old management. Everything is completely new in the box. New management doesn't want to stock these headphones and we won't be stocking them in the future unless customers specifically request them.

that doesnt mean that they should basically have no warranty though. no matter how cheap.

        • +5

Yeah IANAL, but I don't think this would hold with the ACCC.

This 1mth warranty is illegal. Please read up Consumer Law.

    • Yes very weird

      • yeah completely illegal, think very very past EOL? went looking for product details elsewhere and anywhere selling them, there isn't any for sale anywhere

    • Is it? Can you link.

Warranties are different to guarantees under Australian Consumer Law.

      I believe warranties aren't compulsory.

I always assumed anything purchased in Australia has a 12 month warranty until I started looking at the ACCC and Consumer Law websites and couldn't find anything, apart from consumer guarantees, which don't give a specific timeframe.

Happy to be proven wrong though.

      • I looked too but only found the same as you.

    • You might need to read up. Nothing in the law requires any sort of warranty. Are you confusing warranty with the “consumer guarantee”?

  • Illegal to offer only a one month warranty.

An express manufacturer's warranty is different to an implied statutory warranty.

This isn't promoting the newly acquired store very well…

It's called standing behind the products you are selling, regardless of if you are still going to restock in the future or not.

1 month warranty. No batteries. Not the best headphones.

You’re really selling it to us OP.

  • calm down all you 1 month warranty warriors!

I bought this a few yrs ago. They said the same thing. It's still going. Sound quality is awesome for the price.
