Anyone bought from here before? Samsung warranty? Errorfree spelt incorrectly?

    Also link not working?

    • It has 6 months Samsung warranty. Also, the link is working fine for us, could you please check again.

    • Link working here.

I've bought from them before, though only cases etc not phones.
Very pleased with their prices and prompt service, and would expect their phone sales to be ok too.

    • +4

I have bought a samsung watch from them. It was almost brand new. Very pleased with the shipping and the quality of the item received

    • +5

      Have bought 2,
      Ive gone for grade A

      Was like new.

      Communication was good too

      Can recommend

    • Ive only bought those Samsung evo cards from dec 2019

    • +2

Yes, I bought a Samsung Galaxy S8 from phonebot last year. The mobile was in new condition, I'd buy from them again.

Bought This exact model just over a year ago. Screen died a few weeks after the warranty expired so i wouldn't expect more that a year use

      • I bought the S4 years ago and the screen cracked super easily - I looked online and it was a common problem. Haven't touched the S phones since and never had a cracked screen since either.

    • +3

They seem to be ok, I bought S8 last year. Only annoyance is the ad said pelican case, but they swapped it for a cheaper case. Also they said free case, but charged me. I told them about free case error and they refunded. Also I do think it's improper to say 'refurbished' when the battery hasn't been replaced, as manufacturer refurbished phones always replace the battery. T

      • Thanks for that. Have you had to replace the battery?

        • +1

It's battery is still ok at the moment, It has 90% health when I got it, not sure what it is now, but it's still quite useable. I should add though, I have an app that beeps when phone gets to 80% charge, supposedly the last 20% is most damaging to battery. When not an inconvenience I unplug charger at 80%

          • @bobvegas: We need a phone that automatically shuts off at 20% actual battery but displays 0% and one that never charges above 80%

Bought a refurb google pixel XL (grade a) last year September. Still going strong.

    • Thank you for the review.

  • Free shipping?

    • Absolutely.

    • +3

Free shipping? Shipping included in the price? Appears so

  • Can anyone comment about how long battery is expected to last(life) considering the phone is a few years old and refurbished? Is it better to get something more recent ? S9 refurbed ?

    • Seconded. Was thinking of getting one for someone but my S8's battery is shocking atm.

    • +4

Batteries will last a day of normal use. You can use app like accu battery to see the health and if the battery life is unusually short (lasting half a day or less) you can take it to samsung or send us back for a free replacement. We've had a few replaced from Samsung without any dramas. They do take a couple of days and erase the device and don't provide a courtesy phone.

I have the S8. will not last more than 15-18 hours. Other than that, it is still going strong and tbh mine has copped quite a bit of abuse and has held up remarkably well considering its mostly glass.
has also been receiving monthlyish security updates.

    • I'm not sure about the s8, but my s8+'s battery life is holding up really well.

I'm almost at 2 years and the battery has 96% (around 450 charge cycles) of its capacity. Apparently samsung has done something to prolong the battery life from the s8 onwards. I've heard people mention that they've probably just sectioned off parts of the battery to prevent users from charging it to max, to prolong life

  • Any idea how this would compare to a new Xiaomi redmi note 8t…?

    • I feel like this would still be a lot better. Just picked up a Note 8 Pro and while it's impressive for its price, the camera is average and MIUI isn't the best

      • I dont mind MIUI - have a note 5 - but assumed the camera on the 8 pro would be very good and would match top end phones from samsung, apple etc from maybe a year or two ago (s8/9, iphone 8 etc). Is it simply no good in dark conditions? Also, i wasnt sure which chip would be speedier - this one from 2 years ago or a new mid ranger in the redmi…

If the Save$25 code was still working for this phone, id probably jump on it tbh

        • +2

I've got a S8+ and it's been a great phone, still goes strong. The camera takes a pretty good shot at night as well, it automatically adjusts the shutter speed to suit, you just need to hold the phone still that's all.

    • +1

GS8 camera out of the box is better, especially low light. However the camera hardware on the Note 8T is very good - and the GCam APK will turn this into a rather good camera, especially the Google implementation of Night Sight.

  • Will it be faster than LG G6?

    • +8

Yes. It is not like a G6. Not like a G6.

  • Had trouble completing checkout. After the last step of payment, it returns to the 1st screen without any error message.
Tried a couple of times with no luck.

    • Let us check it.

  • +1

    Has the battery been replaced?

    • No. Phone will come with original battery.

  • +1

Any chance on a deal on any of the plus models or even the notes?

    • +3

      Not currently but will update.

  • I gave up as apparently my phone number is invalid..

    • Could you please inbox us with the details of the issue?

  • +1

Great price. I changed my S8 for a P20 Pro, but the screen on the S8 was better, and frankly the camera wasn't much worse either in most cases.

  • Hi Rep, Is the price include tax for TRS claim?

    • +1

It's under $300 so you can't claim via TRS unless you buy something else costing $21 or more.

Tried to purchase through these guys before and was requested to send screenshots of our bank account to prove card validity?? Cancelled the order immediately and requested refund which then didn't appear for a couple of weeks.

  • +1

Nice price bought one. Any chance of changing the Pelican Vault case to the Pelican Voyager case?

    • +1

Please inbox us your order number.

      • Can I do the same please?

        Prefer the Voyager.

      • +1 I'd also like to switch to a Voyager case if possible, order number PM'ed. Thank you.

        • -1

Please note that we never confirmed any customer for a switch from Vault to Voyager. We asked for order number to see if its possible. Please have patience and understand that we have a certain quality of stocks of each product/case only and we need to make sure that every customer is happy.

  • Popped in an order, Wish I'd of seen earlier today and may of met cutoff to arrive by Friday with express ship to SE Melb :x
Good chance to replace sisters pixel that will cost more for a new screen than the device itself.

Have opted for the Voyager case in order notes like the guys above, Hopefully can be swapped.

  • Is it true that samsung warranty does not cover water damage and refurbished phones are less likely to be water resistant?

    • +1

Just a few months ago my friend had his S8 get water damaged after taking photos in a pool. He brought it to Samsung who … surprisingly, swapped it for an S10e for him. I was really surprised. YMMV though!

      • wait wtf? so they claimed it was a fault with the phone because it's supposed to be waterproof?

        • Yup. Not sure if it's a typical experience though. But it did happen.

  • +1

    Gone up to $329, now.

    • Same here

  • Has anyone had notification that their order has shipped?

    • Not yet

      • Thanks. Looks like it's not going to happen today.

  • Most probably, regret not choosing pick up now

  • +2

Mine shipped yesterday, received today. Very happy with it, thanks rep.

  • Did they email shipping info or did it just arrive?

    • You should get an email once posted.

      • You were right. Ended up picking it up.

They have run out cases but said when back in stock will send, hopefully they will

Phone looks like it is in great condition :)
