Not sure if this is a pricing error or not as the price per adult is $42 and $32 for children. It's the same price for just the tour without lunch on RedBalloon. There is no family pricing on the official Optus Stadium page but the price for 2 adults and 2 children is $147, which works out to be a saving of $82.
I'm not interested in the tour so I haven't purchased, but I've been able to add it to the cart and go to the checkout page with no problems. There are various times and dates available.
If you subscribe to RedBalloon's newsletter, you will get an extra $10 off on your first purchase.
Description on website:

90 minute guided tour of Optus Stadium
Lunch and drink at City View Cafe
Join your friendly guide on a 90 minute tour and be taken behind the scenes of Optus Stadium, located east of the Perth Central Business District, on the Burswood Peninsula. Opened in 2018, the stadium is Australia’s most state-of-the art event venue hosting a variety of sports and entertainment events including Australian Football League, International and Big Bash League cricket, rugby league, concerts and more. Your tour will begin with an introduction from the tour leader at the rebel Fan Gear Store located near Gate D. From here you'll be guided through the Stadium’s inner sanctum, which includes state-of-the-art facilities in the players’ change rooms and premium hospitality function spaces. If the playing surface is not in use you will have the chance to stand on the run-off area of the field of play and witness the stadium from a player’s point of view. Lastly, the tour concludes with spectacular scenic views of the Swan River, Matagarup Bridge and Perth skyline.

Start or finish the tour with a 45 minute dining experience in the Stadium’s City View Cafe where you will enjoy delicious food and further scenic views of Perth and the Swan River.

Why would anyone want to tour it?

    • +2

Well according to their website, it is the 'most Beautiful Stadium in the World.' :) I was actually looking at it for an interstate visitor who's really into sports.

    • Something to do with the kids.

Not quite the same history as MCG

You're welcome. Glad someone can make use of it.

  • it shows $260 for me?

    • Hmmm not sure, I just checked again and it's still showing as $65 for me

    WELCOMERB10 for $10 off

    Normally $65

(Adult meals are about $20 normally)

    • I don't know if the $65 is the normal tour price.

Lol. The "meal" will be a sports pie, chips and a cup of post mix. The reason why the pies are sold as sports pies is that they fail to constitute the required 26% meat mix. They are "meal" of bone and blood and sinew, teeth and fur and grizzle, feacal matter and pizzle, grub for bogans insitu.

    • Mmmm

From the description, the meal seems half decent:

  • Tour Optus Stadium? There's nothing to see! I work there and get to go behind the scenes and I've never seen anything worth paying for. It's a bowl, 360 degrees of sameness. Yes the outside is nicely done and it looks pretty at night but you see all that free.

    Valentines sorted

  • $147 is the pricing error. That is obscene.

  • good deal.

but can't work out if my 5th who is 2 can be included.
on the stadium website, under 6 is free, but you still need a ticket.

  • has anyone get it through?
    just got an cancelled email

  • looks like a pricing error, they removed from the website now

  • "Were sorry to say that 90 Minute Optus Stadium Tour with Cafe Lunch and Drink - Family is no longer available on RedBalloon.

Don't worry though, you (or the recipient) can still use the voucher to book another one of our amazing experiences."

So it looks like a bait and switch scam. That's illegal, isn't it?

    • Had a live chat with them and pressure them of giving me a reason of this cancellation and this is what I get

      Thank you for your patience.

I've followed up your 2 vouchers for "90 Minute Optus Stadium Tour with Cafe Lunch and Drink - Family" with the related department. I can see that the experience has been taken down due to updates on the inclusion. There are some additional inclusion added on the product which may lead to additional/extra fee for the experience.

Worst excuse ever, first time and also last time to buy from red balloon

      • Were they willing to give you a refund? Or just a credit?

        • You can get full refund within 14 days from purchase, chrcked with them

    • pretty sure you should be entitled for a full refund, credit is normally if you want to cancel.

edit: they even give refunds for change of mind within 14 days

  • The family price is back on the website for $65! I don't suggest that anyone should purchase it now, but if you already have bought it and got a cancellation email, maybe you can use this to get them to honour it. They can't say they made a mistake, fixed it and then made the same mistake again, right?

Edit: they've just removed it again

    • I can see it again, it seems like it got removed and put it back on quite a few times, I took a screenshot, see what next excuse they come up with tomorrow

  • Could someone post if they see it come back on, want to take a punt.
