  • Is there anything similar for KLIA?

Taiwan is worth a few days, very modern city but with older traditional elements. Great public transport, all the shopping and experience of Japan, fantastic nightlife (particularly for younger folk). Not the cheapest though, their economy is pretty decent.

  • Yeah would definitely stop longer than half a day! I am going to dedicate a trip to Taiwan.

  • make sure you book ahead so you don't miss out because the tour could fill up on the day

One of the best places I've ever travelled to. Highly recommend. As others have said, not nearly enough time to truly appreciate it, but still better than nothing.
Highlight for me was the food (despite everything else also being amazing). Having eaten my way through every possible sort of street food in any street market I came across, I didn't get sick or even remotely off kilter even once. And so many things I ate were absolutely astoundingly good.

    • Agree, so worth a dedicated trip. Such an easy place to explore and enjoy.

There are also 2 or 3 different transit tours for Shanghai's Pu Dong airport too.

I saw it a few months ago, at the transit or arrivals hall.

Also, for Changi Airport tours, check which passports are allowed, because after Covid,
some nationalities are not allowed on the transit tour anymore.
