    FML! So I was actually doing some homework this morning and didn't check the news or OzB for a while. I saw the deal at 2PM and I drove up straight away and I was just a moment too late - people were in line with their TouchPads in hand. One douche even tried to sell me his for $200 bucks! I also overheard someone talking about eBay. This is so sad!

    Just picked up a 16gb in Townsville. Got the 2nd last one. I was there a 2:01 and was 20ppl in line in front of me. Heaps of 32gb left but there was at least 10ppl behind me when I left and all of them decided they may as well get the 32gb.

      If all you need/want is web browsing and video playing then the HP is probably fine. Don't know for certain yet as I haven't got one (gonna get one off a friend who ordered a few from the US), but for $100 I'm prepared to gamble and find out.

    that was epic! just got one at HN garden city. in the end there were two lines. One for those who were guaranteed one and one for those who wanted one but probably weren't gonna get one. So many people 2 police officers arrived lol. According to the staff the 16gb sold out in minutes.
