Hope I can work out how to get a new ROM on it then - I just bought the same phone yesterday as well..
It's possible although it's a rather long and involved process to unlock the bootloader. Currently I cannot figure out how to use Chinese webpages to start the process.

I bought xiomi redmi 8 pro, so far so good using last 2 month and it's more faster then my iPad, camera and battery life aslo I am happy with.

Huh, I bought an 8t with the global ROM and it had like 7 apps that took me seconds to remove. Nova launcher pro a minute later and it's been sweet as.
run the xiaomi.eu rom and debloat with adb shell. pretty easy if you know basic command line
The poll was created earlier in the year so I would think the Xiaomi A3 would take the crown for best phone under $300 by the end of 2019. Nonetheless, this is a good price for the A20

I Need a pogo phone. I was looking at a deal on the sharp aquos s2 (c10) last night and was about to hit buy, but seen heaps of comment to get this instead.
I won't be using it as my daily driver, I want a phone that I can easily use custom Roms and root to allow sd as primary storage to install apps to install to.
Are the a20 as painful as the 2018 galaxy tab 6inch? I bought a couple for my young fellas and it's only 16gb internal storage and you can't install bugger all apps and games. Even with root it's a pain to use the sd card as internal storage. I gave up in the end.
How's people's experience using this phone on a daily basis?
No complaints. Good phone.
Nice. Feels like Samsung smashed 2019 out of the park with their suite of smartphones. Literally one or two Samsung deals on OzB every week. The flagship series seem to be killing it with S10 series and Note 10 series, then you've got your A50/70 range, then your A20 which people seem to love.
Might get this A20 as a burner…
I use it as my daily driver. As long as you dont play any graphics intensive games this is everything you could ever want.
I did from a Note 8 for a while.
Camera and 5ghz wifi are it's big let downs. Water resistance is probably another downer. However the long battery life with a lower powered chip and big battery is great.
Wow. No 5Ghz? Disappointing.
I've got one. It's ok, just slow as heck at times.
Note there is no 5Ghz wireless, and the GPS can be iffy at times
Yep, I have 4 units of A20 and all of them have problems logging onto GPS satellites at times.
It is hit and miss so frustrating.
Need a deal for the A70. Missed out before Christmas :(
