Samsung 75" UHD 4K Smart TV (UA75RU7100WXXY) $1399.99 @ Costco (Membership Required)

910

Pretty reasonable price for this 75" inchy boi. Not the lowest of all time, but a decent discount nonetheless.

Plenty of stock left at Casula, NSW.

You don't need the " after 75 if you're calling it inchy boi, otherwise it's 75 inch inchy boi.

i would argue the costco satisfaction guarantee is worth more then the $28 difference

        • +11

What about the free delivery, how do you got a 75 inchy boi in your car.

        • I heard they are not so flexible with the guarantee. They sent my friend to manufacturer for warranty repair and refused a refund or swap.

          • @eeeee: I was arguing with one of the staff who was adamant that the satisfaction guarantee was for 30 days but could not produce any evidence but still going on.

While waiting next in line for return, overheard the 30 days thrown at another customer who was returning a suitcase bought couple of years ago but still refunded

  • it was 1250-1300 last month in the posted deals

    • Hi I looked for this but didn't see it could u pls show me, gonna do a 28degree claim if it was under 1350. Thanks

      • +1

Does 28 degrees still have price protection?

  • I have to agree the Costco warrenty is the best in oz

    • +13

      • As long as u keep your members uptoday your item is covered as I’m fully uptodate on how it works at Costco
Iv even returned something after 5 years with no questions asked replacement ….

      • That post is stupid. 7 years and expects warranty? Lol I'd never sell anything to that guy.

  • N.b this is the entry level Samsung panel.

    • So just a standard LCD screen yeah?

These were selling like hot cakes at Moorabbin. I saw a cart load of them bought today and being stacked outside for delivery.

BTW Warranty is awesome. I used a fan for a year and then it stopped working. Took it back with receipt and they refunded no questions asked.

Bit dodgy saying $1000 off isn't it?

I often get confused for what constitutes a bargain around here. DJ had this on xmas eve for same price and it got 23 votes…a month later costco has it for same price and the votes double. .well DJs is still cheaper ($1449) providing you use easily acquired discount vouchers..if you haggle well they might even match it. Plus cash rewards (4%)

Edit: of course no CR if haggling in store

    • It depends who sees the deals and when. A lot of people don't see a deal once it's on the next page.

  • You need a large living room that allows minimum 5+ metres to the TV, to accommodate an inchy boi such as this.

    • +1

i have a 75" in a 6 meter living room and find it too small. Even though I've had much smaller TVs than this. Expectations just keep increasing.

In the beginning it looked big because it was replacing a 50" plasma. But after a few weeks I'd just got used to the size and it didn't feel big anymore.

It doesn't come close to filling up my FOV. It's a bit smaller than 1/9 of my FOV. My 27" desktop monitor fills up about 60% of my FOV, so that may be why the 75" TV looks small.

    • You don’t need that much distance for a 4K TV. It’s around 1-1.5x of the screen size. In this case it will be about 2-3 meters.

      • that's correct. Optimum viewing angle for a 4K screen is 1-1.5X the diagonal length.

Beyond that, you won't be able to resolve every pixel and the TV will look no better than FHD.

    • Well I have a 110” screen so this would be a step down also I must have a big loungroom at say 6.5 x 9.5 I guess
