  Yeah I wouldnt even go anything below full HD.
  I got the high end Asus Rog S Zephyrus GX531 gaming laptop recently and I must say, awesome machine but the screen has back light bleed. So a bad scree can easily kill a laptop for you. I am returning this as it is very annoying when playing a game and seeing the bleed.
