At that price, id rather get a more established brand…
Plus it has windows. Who needs that?!

    Technical specs: http://www.hanvon.com/en/products/touchpad/touchpad_B10.html

It is more a computer than a tablet - its got a celeron CPU, no wireless N, crap battery life, most likely will be slow.

  • Yep they been release over a year, they used to be sold I'm office works , tested it out didnt like it

I would actually prefer a full OS compared to an android or IOS. Your not limited to apps on the market/store.

Reviews say the battery only lasts for about 2-3 hours which is pretty bad.

Compared to current tablets like the asus eee p121 (rrp is around $1500), which runs on an i5 ulv. I'd say you get what you pay for.

you ask if these are any good, but the website is oo, where unsaleable junk goes to be cleared.
the answer seems clear to me.

    • One man's trash is another's treasure. That said, at 2-3 hours battery life… pass.

  • whoops, duped my comment.

These had major issues… high return rate with bad batteries, wifi, etc.. but if you can get a good one at this price it's not bad. Heavy for my liking.. just under a kg

  • I saw a guy on the train use a Windows 7 tablet with a Wacom stylus (or something similar). Anyone know if it's this one, or if it's something else? The tablet looked very quick, with the usual Wacom handwriting recognition.

The Asus eee P121 comes with a wacom pen. Has really good pen support with a high sampling rate.

      • wow, that thing is expensive. but thanks for telling what it was. been thinking about it all night ><

    • I use an X201 Tablet as my primary weapon of choice. It has the dual-digitiser screen for Wacom pen input as well as capacitive multi-touch. See http://clubduh.com/blog/2010/11/01/taking-my-tablets-again/

I picked up one of these from Officeworks when they were reduced to about $500 from memory, maybe 6 months ago. The unit I had was faulty and they refunded my money. Talking to the manager a week later, he told me they were only given 10 of the units to sell, sold all of them, all had to be refunded for being faulty.

    Ripoff of the Lenovo logo?

  • they were 700 when they came out at office works, i wanted to buy one..lucky i didnt.

  • These are not glorified ebook readers etc like an iPad. As long as you don't want it for the same things or have the same expectations (eg battery life) it seems like nothing amazing but still an ok deal.
