I hope Boost would support eSIM very soon.

  • starter only? non existing customers?

    • starter only?

      Yes

  • Will it work on existing customers?

Does anyone else have issues with reception in Canberra?
Boost is on Telstra 4G network, which is supposed to have the biggest coverage, but I often have very weak or no signal on my phone. I'm getting more bars on my Vodafone sim almost anywhere..

    • +5

Same here in outer Melbourne. Do not trust the Telstra coverage maps. Telstra the company with the greatest overestimation in their coverage maps. And, absolutely no accountability for the massive errors.

I am using telstra and having the same issues in some parts of Canberra and Queanbeyan

    • +1

Having similar issues in Canberra. There often is only 1 bar.

    • I am planning to port to boost- can u please let me know which suburbs are affected or is it just whole of Canberra? Thanks doperst

      • In Bruce where I live I only have 1 bar. In some buildings there is no reception at all.

        • Thanks doperst.
I lived in Belconnen so it could be an issue.

    • Spotty reception in the city too. In my apartment in Braddon I get 2 bars, where I was getting 4 or 5 on Optus (Circles). I get complete dropouts inside buildings in Civic where my previous SIMs at least kept a weak connection.

      • Inner suburb of Brisbane, sometimes 5 dropouts in one call. I'll likely port back to Optus. I'm in a busy neighborhood so I got some dropouts with them too. But Telstra is worse and costs more.

    • I don't have any problems with reception here in Melbourne, though I do frequently have issues with no data throughput in busy areas (near a CBD train station in peak hour, or at the casino on a Friday or Saturday night). This is despite having a strong signal, and being in range of dozens of towers. I've never experienced such issues with Optus or Vodafone. I wonder if Telstra de-prioritises Boost traffic?

  • OP, can you offer any discounts on recharge as well?? or anyone else can suggest how to get discount on recharge. Thanks in advance

OP, can you offer any discounts on recharge as well??

      I'm clearly not a rep.

      • +1

Can I have a discount on an i35N instead? ;)

        • +3

Just for you, I'll increase the price ;)

    • On long term plansnlike this one recharge has a disadvantage that remaining Data does not rill over but is forfeited so better to port out and then port in.

  • Thanks ordered one

  • +2

Thanks ordered two but I'm not eBay Plus member so I did two separate transactions with code "PICK100" and got $10 off each.

  • Do they send you a card or a e-voucher

  • +2

Is there any other deals like this going around at the moment? Woolies one is still $150 and I wouldn't need that much data.

  • +11

Still available on their main store, and can possibly price match at Officeworks for $128.25

    • Ooh cheers!

Can't changed the deal url because they're banned for sockpuppeting currently lol

I know they're both in Adelaide, but how did you work out it's the same store?

      • +2

Lol yeah, I noticed a link last night because the store rep posted a deal and sockpuppeted, but they posted a link to this deal a few months ago and also didn't mark as associated. Both deals were marked as in Adelaide and identified a link pretty easily lol

    • The real joke deal is always in the comments

    • Isn't this on their bestdealplaza eBay account too?

      • No coupon with them, it's $150

        • Yeah but it's open to offers

  • how do i port my current number into this?

    • Like most mobile companies, there will be an optionwhen activating, to use the number that came with the SIM, or to port your number from your current provider to Boost

      • oh yeah that's right, now i remember doing that.

    • Read this
      Has some instructions

  • If I purchase now, can I active / port my number in August 2020?

  • Dang 1 day too late. I literally recharged last night. Oh well.

  • Optus have 120gig for $150 online only seems heaps better

    • No international calls though.

  • Changed to this from Optus last week. Location is Perth, throughout city and south of river the internet is bad. Constantly at H+ and 3G, quite slow compare to Optus. Especially on the train approaching CBD, theres basically no internet reception! Never really had problem with Optus previously. Really disappointed.

    • Interesting! I'm from regional WA and because everyone uses Telstra its heavily congested and I can't even load a picture or website. Optus is completely fast, except coverage is reduced compared to Telstra along the coast (great Southern WA)

Contemplating moving to Optus, I have a $150 120gb starter pack ready to go!

Are you sure your phone supports the Telstra frequencies?

      • Oops my bad. Just checked that my phone setting was somehow on 3G/2G network. Now changed to 4G and it's much better. Thanks for reminder

        • Unfortunately for me 4G is no different!

  • For those porting from another carrier ~ has anyone had better performance by choosing boost?

  • If youre in adelaide the westside newsagency sells them for 135.

Ordered one of these last night after boost screwed up my previous order and I had to cancel. Be keen to know if anyone has received their kit from this deal as yet?
