1/2 Price Decor Thermoglass Range - 1L $7 & 3L $12.50 @ Woolworths

120

These are great for storing & reheating leftovers.

Product blurb:

  • Decor Thermoglass® cookware from Decor is so versatile it makes cooking much more convenient. The set of glass dishes can be used in conventional ovens and microwaves and for serving, storing and reheating meals.

  • Decor Thermoglass® is made of borosilicate glass so that it’s strong, oven-safe and the dishes have an oblong shape that ensures efficient, even cooking. Safe hold handles on each dish allows for safe and easy handling. A further benefit is that Decor Thermoglass® won’t absorb flavours or stain.

  • A feature of the Decor Thermoglass® range is that each dish comes with a red Realseal™ lid, which has a steam release vent. By clicking open the vent, the lids allow use of the dishes in the microwave for quick cooking and reheating, without any messy splatter. Close the vent and dishes containing prepared meals or leftovers can be stored airtight and leakproof in the fridge and freezer.

  • All Decor Thermoglass® dishes and lids are dishwasher-safe.

There are some on Amazon for $10 each (5 for $50) if you have Prime as it's from Amazon US - however they seem better as they have locking lids:

Anyone else find something simlar worth getting? Want something glass for kitchen storage and to carry lunch.

I use Decor thermoglass at home & the lid seals very well but no requirement to transport contents.

I also have a Glasslock set which are leak proof however some of the lids have discoloured and others have chipped over time.

1L glass containers with locking lids are always $4.99 at IKEA, I use them for everything, see my post below. They have a whole range of sizes. The 600ml for $3.99 are also a convenient size.

Edit: The other good thing about the IKEA range is that you can buy lids and containers separately if you want, replacement lids are $1.50 and you can buy packs of replacement gaskets too which come to $1 each.

    • Locking is essential with my use
In the bag, tumbling, always a juicy meal
This is great 👍 , better for me

I have tried the decor ones (which are half price every few weeks, it's not really a deal) but prefer the IKEA glass container range. The IKEA ones have better sealing lids and are always cheaper too, I use them for pretty much everything now.

Yep, the IKEA ones are great. They are cheap, they close securely and I love how you can remove the seals to wash them in the dishwasher.

    • Decor thermoglass range isn't reduced often - you could be thinking of the Match-ups glass storers which are regularly on sale

  • How does this compare to matchups?
