Yamaha YAS-108B 120W Soundbar $139, (Expired) LG OLED65C9PTA $2770 C&C (Or + Delivery) @ The Good Guys eBay

2460
PICK100

Greetings everyone, price for this soundbar is showing as $149 in TGG most recent catalogue, and in combination with the $10 off $100 spend coupon on eBay, brings this soundbar down to a great price.

>Note: I believe this may also be $134.10 at The Good Guys main website later today, there was an advertisement on TV with 10% off ticketed prices starting at Midday. So it might be worth waiting to confirm, I'll update this deal if it goes live.

Edit: Doesn't seem like the 10% will apply to the $149 price unfortunately.

Those that are students with a Student Beans account can get 10% off @ eBay, making the soundbar $134.10 also.

  • Nice one, thanks OP!

  • Damn!! Was ready to pull the trigger on the C9, but there is no stock anywhere near me.. I am in Hervey Bay, closest store with stock is north Brisbane. Maybe this is a good thing seeing as I haven’t cleared it with my other half!! 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

    • Resistance… is futile!

I'm not buying one. Bought a different soundbar from a previous OzB post! LOL

  • Possibly a dumb question, but if I picked up one of these, would my Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones connect to them when watching movies or playing games late at night?

The sound bar not the TV

    • I think it’s got Bluetooth, but possibly as an input, not output.

Just got the Soundbar and tried it out in my house. Sound good but decided to go with the 5.1 route. Willing to sell for $130 if there are any takers around Northcote VIC area?

    • How much did you plan to spend for the 5.1 route

      • probably at the 2-300 range for the AV receiver.

    • Hmmm yea pulled the trigger on the soundbar too but really much prefer my Sony SRS-ZR7B Wireless Speaker for convenience. Buyer's remorse :p

    • I'll buy it from you

      • Pm me

      • PM me if u're still keen.

  • Just picked up soundbar from goodguys nunawading for $139. They had none left in stock but as I needed another for a mate they were prepared to do a deal for $144 as they would not match the eBay promo, will wait 1-2 weeks for delivery.

  • Thanks OP, bought one.

  • Finally pulled the trigger, Thank You OP.

    Plan C….the ATS-1080 @ JBHIFI is available (limited stock) @ $149 (C&C) at the moment…

  • My father has poor hearing and has to bump the TV volume up a ton to watch it - downside is you can hear the TV throughout the entire house. Will getting a Soundbar and placing this closer to the couch remedy this problem?

    • +1

How would you get it closer to the couch? Need to consider cabling, but it could work better depending on what you already have.

As with any speakers if you want to hear dialog better without rumbling the house then turn the bass down! You can turn the bass way down on this soundbar, and dialog is clear, especially when you turn off the surround modes and just go stereo (got mine yesterday and have been playing with it).

Alternatively you could look into getting a half decent set of headphones either wireless or with extension cable to reach where he is sitting.

      • I was thinking of having a cable run just along the floor pretty much closer to his seating. Wouldn't be pretty though haha

  • Is there a way to mount this sound bar underneath a pre-existing TV VESA mount? I can't drill any further holes in the walls, and my current VESA mount for my 49" TV is a swivel.

Is there an attachment which can drop it below the TV, using the existing mount?

  • What I've done with mine, under a 50" tv on a "stubby" vesa mount: used "punched metal strapping" (Bunnings etc), about a metre of that hung over the vesa mount, then at each end through the pre-punched holes put a small bolt that slots into the "mounting holes" on the yas-108…. with a bit of jigging around it looks like it is expertly attached to the underside of the tv. If there is a gap just stuff some dense foam or rubber under where the strap goes over the vesa mount until the soundbar sits flush. Hope this helps. Cheap, fairly easy solution and hidden from view anyway. The remainder of the roll of punched metal strapping you'll probably find other uses for around the house.

LG OLED65C9PTA price increased now deal expired. I managed to get one $2821.50 when It was on sale for $2970. I called few stores to do price match as Harvey Norman was having same price and $150 fuel card. Some store can not match that offer and some store can go below sale price $2970 but not exactly matching the offer. I went to Cranbourne JB hifi, They straight away said they can only match the advertised price not gift card or fuel card. Then I went to good guys, next to jb hifi, They almost did price match and reduce price to $2821.50 which is what I wanted. I bought 5 yrs Concierge Gold Service for $365 as well which comes with 30 days price guarantee as well as 3 x $20 store credit a year for 5 years. If you use store credit for 5 years you get $300 as credit which works out only $65 for 5 yrs of good guys gold service.
