  • pretty sure you cant pricematch as you will need to enter promo code on checkout

  • I remember they had similar Promo last year as well which worked for S10 range pre orders.

  • The S20 Ultra has a 108mp, 100x zoom, 8K camera. Damn!

    • The 100x zoom is via digital enhancement. Samsung webite already mentioned it might caused the image to distort. Not sure what's the max zoom strength via optics only.

Not sure how Huawei achieved their supposedly extreme zoom strength as well and how it's going to compare against S20 Ultra.

      We'll see I guess

    • When it comes to zoom, make sure to find out its OPTICAL zoom. We all know the S20 Ultra 100x DIGITAL zoom, which isn't that great.

        10x Optical Zoom
        100x Digital

        • +1

          Digital Zoom is a gimmick.

        • +2

          4x optical
          10x 'hybrid' ('lossless' pixel binning)
          100x digital

Digital zoom is less of a gimmick when you have 108MP to play with…

          • @bboT: Lol. We are talking about 1800+ Dollors here. We should have atleast 10 times optical zoom here. What works for me is a pixel 3a + Fuji Xe3 + a kit lens and 35mm F/1.4. Perfect for everything :)

Why don't people buy a used Fujifilm mirrorless like a X-E3 with a decent native prime lens i.e 23/35mm F/1.4. You do not need these digitally enhanced si-fi small sensor big promise camera phones to be honest.

My guess is that people aren't sure yet how to make phone calls, text, browse the web, etc, with a Fujifilm mirrorles camera.

The best camera is the camera you have with you.

Everyone carries around a smartphone. Who carries around a camera?

Speaking as someone who does own a better mirrorless setup than that.

      • there lies the issue. Cameras, small mirrorless ones, you use to create memories and art. with cellphone you just take a photo.

        • Which pretty much answers your question, huh?
Most people stopped carrying a separate camera ~15 phone generations ago because all they want to do is take photos and for those photos to be the best they can be without having to carry a second device.

For me personally the failure of the Galaxy Zoom handsets to catch on was a tragedy. The K Zoom was a brilliant device. Not the greatest camera. Not the greatest phone. Absolutely the best phone in camera. The 10x optical zoom on its own was worth the ugly shape. No messing about transferring media from memory card to hard drive.
If the did it again with an upper tier mid-ranger I'd be all that like a rash.

      • You don't need a mirrorless for nude selfies

    • You don't need a mirrorless for social media.

  • What is the best way to get a Snapdragon version in AU?

  • Amazon showing 30th March release for the ultra.

  • +$5 for preorder lol
