  • Nice one OP but a lot of the time I find you are always paying a month in advance w these things? So by the time the third month is up you’ve just paid for the fourth month…. hnm

  • How is 30000 points valued at $300? But from what i see a store gift card is around 19499 for $100 and virgin gift card is 16600 for $100. Sorry for the stupid question.

    • They are generally counted of having 1c value each, plenty of people sell points for 1c each and over on this site.

      • Didn't know. Thanks.

Don't use Velocity points for Gift cards, use it for Virgin flights and upgrades

@xinyi: You will get the most bang for your buck on Virgin international business class reward seats generally. However, you can also get reasonable reward seats on Singapore Airlines with Velocity points.

For example 65,000 Velocity points gets you SYD-BKK in business class via Singapore with only ~$100-150 in fees. Very good value and better than a lot of the QFF offerings in Asia.

    • A quick cash value for 30,000 FBs is shopping at Coles. 2,000 FBs = $10 off so value in this example is $150.
      Net cost $87

Good value if you're heading off overseas to one of the roaming countries.

You get Velocity points with this deal, not flybuys.

        • :) oops - thanks for the correction

  • Would down vote if it wasn't only 3 months…

This plan was previously $40 with 80GB, it's an absolute scam at $79.

Stay connected for 8-12 months and you've paid for the points gained - really gotta make sure to port out right after 3 months.

    • Yeah I got excited. Im currently paying the $40 for 80gb. Not a great deal for me at all!

      • Is that deal still on ?

        • Not sure but highly doubt it.

  • Thanks OP. Just did the swap for $79 plan. Will stay for 90 days then switch to boost after.

This deserves more upvotes - it's a pretty damn good deal! Good for those who are both SIM sluts and points sluts.
