iPhone XS 64GB $499 Upfront on $65/M for 12months Contract @ JB Hi-Fi

280

Seems like the $500 gift card is back but only for those who purchase the IPhone XS. If you were going to purchase the IPhone XS anyway with the gift card then it is a pretty good deal as they are retailing in store at JB for $999.

Signup for $65/m for 12 months and get IPhone XS for $499 upfront. End Sunday 16th Feb and for new port-in customers. Unlimited talk and text, with 60GB data monthly. Total cost of phone and plan is $1279.

  • That giftcard would be nice with the Note 10 deal, might try my luck with that today, thanks OP.

    • Note 10 is $499 upfront in JBHifi Charlestown

Is there Any international calls included?
    Thank you.

addit: if you don't need so much data per month, then boost prepaid 1 yr + iphone XS outright is still cheaper, with free international calls

    Which provider is this with?

    edit: Telstra

    • Telstra but I believe it may not be full network. I’m happy for someone to correct me.

      • I’m not going to correct u bcoz I agree with u. Poor signal in some areas.

      • +2

        It is full network

It's Telstra Telstra, so full network.

  • Any deal for 256GB or 512GB?

  • +2

This phone costs $999 outright from the shops. By going on this plan you save $500 but then you are also paying $65 x 12 = $780.

$780 - $500 = $280 is what the sim is costing you. I think Boost is still a good value if you don't need 60GB data per month. Boost also comes with International calling which this one doesn't .

That may be true, but putting half the cost of the phone on an interest free 12 month payment plan + the $280 SIM cost (which equates to approx $23 per month) for 60GB data has it's own appeal :)

    • Thx for the calc. Just an opinion: Your base case is $999 RRP, but can be purchased cheaper now and more progressively to the new model release, so savings is the maximum of the range.

Note that there is a difference between paying over 12 months compared to making a full payment upfront. In my case, I can't afford to buy it upfront but I can certainly pay over 12 months 😊. So, these deals are still worthy for some people 😊

    • For those with eg a $50/month mobile phone reimbursement through work, these type of ‘inflated’ plans work better though.

  • I heard they’re doing an SE2 and it will have a home button.

    Fingers crossed!

    • Hope the China virus shutdown doesn't delay this.

    • I heard that since 2018
