    This worth it?

My 7 year old Soniq finally shat itself yesterday and looking to replace. For the rumpus room so don't really care if not the best

I have the 50R6. Pretty good value for money and the image quality is decent, however it doesn't get very bright and the viewing angle is terrible. Even going 20deg off dead center results in pretty bad colour and contrast shift.

If you're beng on dead center the picture quality is pretty good though.

Another note is that the VIDAA OS isn't that great, and Disney+ isn't supported yet. I just make do by using a $72 Vodafone TV instead (which I already had anyway)

      • Thank you for this

Anything is better than a soniq?

    • I've got a Hisense 58N5, about 3 years old, and hasn't skipped a beat. Really good value IMO, only annoyance is delay between pressing buttons and tv response time. Not sure if the 65R6 is rectified but regardless would highly recommend at this price.

I just bought the 43R6 for the bedroom and it's pretty snappy and responsive.

Very happy with the purchase. Picture quality is good, OS is snappy (but no comparison to the Sony Android OS) and streaming from online/NAS works well. Only the Plex app seems to struggle with x265 HVEC.

    • I got the 55R7 and dam its pretty good for the price. Mine can get pretty bright but the features that come with it like smoothing and stuff like that I just turn off.

any idea on the picture quality? im looking for something fairly good, just for Games/Anime/4:3 British Comedy sitcoms

I am using one of these. So far no complaint at all. Especially at this price.
Netflix and Youtube is quick responsed. Colour is nice and clear and deep.
Only I didnt know how to use google assistance with this tv

      • +1

You can't. Only Alexa is supported on R6 series. It's also a pain in the a$$ to enable because you need to create a vidaa account and link your Amazon account through that to get it to work on the TV.

I got this early last year for $900.

Great TV, does all the things I throw at it from movies to gaming. Even the software for inbuilt Netflix and YouTube runs great.

    Definitely great bang for buck.

  • Got this at eofy last year, does what it says on the box, bang for buck at 995, even better for this price.

  • Got the 65R5 (1 tier lower) for around the same price last year. Great value for money

  • This has HDR technology

    • Is it HDR or HDR10? I have the 55R7 but can't find the nits anywhere?

$400 to Adelaide…. seriously, that is ridiculous

      • Weird, shows as $65 to Adelaide for me

        • To be fair, I’m up in the hills… but still $335 difference?

  • Damn I wish my tiny studio had enough room for this. This price is so good.

I bought the 32R4 Hisense 32 inch last month. So far it's great

  • This code can't be applied to your order :(

  • missed out? :(

  • Purchased last night, let's see how this goes. Thanks folks!

Avoid these just had to return mine as they have a major software issue with video glitching on all software streaming apps…

    • I haven't had any issues with Netflix, YouTube or Amazon prime on my 50R6 though?

    • No problems with my 65R6.

    • The problem you had effects the R7/R8, not the R6.

  • Can't believe I missed this!
