American Express Card Members (excluding New Zealand Card Members) will receive bonus Velocity Points when they transfer Membership Rewards points from the American Express Membership Rewards Program to Velocity into Velocity Points between 12:01am (AEDT) 17 February 2020 and 29 February 2020 11:59pm (AEDT) (Promotion Period). Bonus Velocity Points will be allocated to a Card Member based on Membership Rewards Program Tier and the amount of transferred Membership Rewards Points in any one transfer under the promotion during the Promotion Period, as follows:

• Ascent, Gateway and David Jones: 2,000+ Membership Rewards Points transferred = 15% bonus Velocity Points
• Business Ascent: 1,998+ Membership Rewards Points transferred = 15% bonus Velocity Points
• Premium Ascent: 2,000+ Membership Rewards Points transferred = 20% bonus Velocity Points

  Forgot to mention status upgrade if you have a platinum or Centurion cards

  Transfer 400k Amex for gold for a year and 20% bonus
  Transfer 800k Amex for platinum for a year and 20% bonus

    I transferred 400k points from my AMEX Platinum Charge a couple of days ago and received Velocity points + 20% bonus almost instantly but my status is still RED :(

    How long does it take before status upgrade?

  This deal is about to expire, and I've been waxing and waning on whether to pull the trigger. Is this as good as transfer bonus deals get? By that I mean, if I am confident that I will ultimately use my Amex points for Velocity, is this the best that I can expect on a transfer deal? I should note that my Amex account has two cards, the Essentials card (which is what I have earned the majority of my points on) and a newish Westpac Altitude Amex, so by that I assume I won't be able to take advantage of the 20% bonuses that other people in this thread have referred to.

    I have got doubled the transferred value both with bonuses, not sure if this was a glitch with AMEX… hopefully noone discovers…

    you will get 15%.
    a VFF glich (as rhsteven) means some (not all!) have gotten a 15% and 20%..
