If you have eBay Plus membership, https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Huawei-nova-5T-Dual-Sim-4G-4G-12... $447.03 delivered at Allphones eBay.

Shame the battery isn't a bit bigger but at $447 from allphones it's hard to think of a better specced phone for the price.

I've got a Mate 20 Pro (same chipset) and haven't got any strong desire to upgrade… The supercharging (which the 5T also has) is also awesome.

How about the android updates? I'm using a Xiaomi Mi A2 which receives update direct from Google, but I'm thinking to upgrade to Huawei Nova 5t or Samsung S10e (more expensive).

Camera any good on this? Hard to find good comparatives, a lot of "almost as good as the s10 or P30" but little comparing it to the xiaomi 9t pro or similar.

Lack of headphone jack makes it a bit meh for me, but I already deal with that on my mi mix 2 (which has a crummy camera)

^ this I would like to know if this has a decent camera or if something else at this price point is better

LCD screen…that could mean high battery drain and murky black levels
