Ugg Australia® we have been making sheepskin boots for over three decades in our former Brunswick factory. Operating Australia’s last and ONLY sheepskin tannery, "Roman Tannery", for footwear guarantees that we are the only one in the world who has 100% Australian Made Ugg boots.

We encourage all customers to do some research when looking to purchase any brand of Ugg Boots.

Ensure you purchase from reputable websites or stores
Contact details - If you can't find the business address or contact number of the business you have purchased boots from, who will help you with customer issues
There are so many sheepskin boots out there claiming to be 100% Australian Made. How can you tell one authentic boot from the rest?

What to ask your retailer when buying your sheepskin products.

Where are your skins from?
Where are they processed?
Are the boots hand cut, hand stitched, hand glued in Australia?
Ask for the address of manufacturer and tannery. There should be no reason why your retailer cannot provide you with details of the origin of your boots.

All Ugg Australia® products are 100% Australian made at our factory and ecologically processed at our Roman Tannery in Laverton North, Melbourne.

  • 100% Australian made AND owned?

    • +2

Yes, everything is made in the only sheepskin footwear tannery in Australia at Laverton North, Victoria.

      • Is the business entity completely owned within Australia, or does it have an off-shore ownership element? You kind of didn't answer my question. :)

    • this is always an interesting discussion haha

  • I got the emu branded ones before Christmas short we’re $30 normally $120 and the big tall ones were $40 normally
$220 Australian Made and Australian whool

  • Since it's an online order without trying them on, it would be better if you could return for a refund if it didn't fit rather than just exchange. Sometimes the width isn't right, etc etc, and exchanging doesn't help.

  • bought a pair for my wife, to go with the baby rug i got from you last week (hasnt arrived so cant comment on quality). still annoyed i missed out on the free baby booties with the rug from an earlier cheaper deal though.

  • Dont be that idiot who picked another colour then the size reset and you ordered the wrong size…..

:) We will make sure you get the size 10

      • All good sent a quick email and followed with a call :) was sorted very quickly. Thanks.

As per the popup on their website you can save a further 10%, so $58.50 total: 'Use the code CUSTOMER10 to receive an extra special one time discount!'.

  • Wait i'm confused by all these UGG talk.

Isn't this one the actual brand and the rest knock offs??
    https://au.ugg.com/

So confusing when there seems to be a zillion brands out there which is called "UGG insert your word"!

basically, any Australian company can sell 'Uggs' under whatever business names - but only in Australia. Deckers (USA) which owns ugg.com own the Ugg brand and are in business worldwide. Our government should have protected the Ugg brand and not allowed that to happen.. but we're useless at doing things like that.

www.uggaustralia.com.au has been around since 1981, today we are the only Ugg boot manufacturer that is 100% Australian made. This is because we own our own Tannery and produce our own sheep skin. Nobody else can claim they are 100% Australian made as they all source their materials overseas.
We are also the only company called "Ugg Australia" that is made in Australia. Deckers is the only other company using the name "Ugg Australia" which are made in China and Vietnam.
So if you want 100% Australian made Ugg boots, branded Ugg Australia, we are the only company that can offer this.

    • I suppose you're happy to also confirm that that wonderful odour that drifts over your tannery fence and across neighbouring housing estates is also 100% Australian UGH, I mean UGG, too?

      • Hi Ozpit, I would like to personally invite you to visit our tannery. There is no Odour from our premises.
The odour you speak of is from neighbouring warehouses not belonging to us.
Please let us know a day and time you would like to visit.

  • Fair call. Just looking for a cheap laugh.

I used to ride my bike through the backroads of Laverton North and the smell that came from one sheepskin tannery would take your breath away.

I think there used to be a few tanneries in that area, some with an 'odour' reputation - much to the displeasure of some local residents. I don't know how many of those tanneries are still there, or how much of an issue any odour still is. The EPA may have stepped in.

Anyway, I take your word that the UGG tannery is fully odour-friendly, having no effluvium escaping the premises.

So, please accept my apologies for any offense taken.

  • Nice work, just grabbed a pair. Good to see a company in Australia sticking it to Deckers, and putting out a bargain prior to the winter season.

  • Still $65.
Price never went back up.. ;) Was it ever 150?

I did get a pair for my wife - she likes them. They look to be of good quality.
