Aldi's special buys for next week. Available from 8th of september at aldi (nationwide).

A few good things available:

$29 Steam cleaner appears to be noteworthy (http://www.aldi.com.au/au/html/offers/2827_18947.htm)

Cheap clothing basic t-shirts - $5
The 9kg top loader for $399 is a good buy.
The wooden toilet seat is about $5 cheaper than Bunnings.
The dustpan & long handle broom is about $8 cheaper than Oates brand from Bunnings/Kmart/Big W

        A Bargain is an item currently for sale that is cheaper than equivalent items elsewhere. NOT necessarily $$$ off normal store price, So what if this is a normal price for Aldi, if its cheaper than any other store - that IS a bargain. You could well argue an app for measly $1.99 now free is a crap offer, are you going to neg all those deals?

    they are once off products, not normally on the shelves, thus they do not have a normal price. But their stuff is usually good value, bought at 32inch tv a couple of weeks ago for $250.

        however a steam cleaner from harvey norman would set you back $299, obviosly of better quality but still a hell of a lot cheaper

          i never said it was the same. its a product available once per year, thats how aldi works, they sell a product for a cheap price, and then its over. if it worked well a year later they might sell it again.

          We bought a steam cleaner from Aldi and found the water reservoir too small and hard to access/fill. Check the current ones before you buy.

          I only read that one page of reviews you linked me. seems your trying awfully hard to try find reasons why this is 'such a bad' post… why dont you just go away. if you dont want to buy anything from there, then dont. i guarantee you that many people will go in to aldi and buy they things they have to offer.

        bargain "A thing bought or offered for sale more cheaply than is usual or expected".

        Ill agree that in the example of the steam cleaner it is at the same price as it was last time it was on sale. but it "or expected", one would expect to pay more that $29 for a steam cleaner, which means it is classified as a bargain, and thus can be posted on this website. Just because you dont think its a bargain doesnt mean it isnt.

    If you spent as much time on creating your original description and title as you did with your comment replies, this wouldn't be an issue. Looking at other posts would have been a good start, and instead of arguing with JV updating your original post would have been the more constructive approach. A mod shouldn't need to hold your hand to complete the most basic requirements of a deal post.

    hate to say it but this Aldi catalogue seems tho have ZERO appeal.
    I really dont see anything that resembles a bargain or a good buy this week at all

    But yeah, the steamer isn't even as good a deal as the one they had a few weeks ago.

    These negative comments just show the problem with some of the ozbargain community…

    Its pretty simple, don't neg unless you can show it cheaper elsewhere!

    Lets just say this is the cheapest product, I'm guessing there would be little interest on ozbargain for many reasons.

    In which case this should stay with 1 vote and just get pushed off the new deals page.

    There is no reason to be negative and act like the OP has done something wrong!

    A simple post about why nobody is interested in this bargain would allow him to post something better in the future, we aren't all born with 5 years of bargain and Aldi history.
