Xiaomi Mi Ultra Short Throw 5000 Laser Projector - Global (AU Stock) $1799 + Delivery (Free with Kogan First) @ Kogan

90

I've been waiting for a local deal for this. Cheapest I've seen to date and I finally pulled the trigger. It's been lower priced before on Banggood ($1620) but I prefer to pay a little extra for local stock and local warranty (Kogan provides 2 years) for something so expensive.

Don't forget new Customers get 3% off via CashRewards plus free delivery if you sign up for Kogan First. Otherwise delivery was something like $21 to Sydney.

hopefully one day the vava 4k comes down to 2000 aus

  • Any other stackable promos for this currently? Would love one, but still slightly too pricey for me!

    • Discounted Kogan gift cards?

  • How far away should the projector be from the wall? I.E. Would this be ok in a school hall/church situation?

    • you might want more then 150"?

      • Yeah, looking into it I don't think this is the right projector.

        • and they can be bolted to the ceiling so wont end up being walking away

          • @asa79: Well currently we have two roof mounted bulb projectors. They are not really the most ideal projectors and are showing their age. I want to replace them eventually with laser projectors. Being a church it's the budget that kills it.

    • This projector can be situated 5 ~ 50cm away from the display surface

      • Thanks yeah I found that before. These are not the ones for this situation.

Kogan aren't really a local seller, but bit better than Gearbest, Banggood etc.

  • i wish i had that sort of money to spend on a projector haha

I reckon. Trying to source one for workplace presentations at the moment — finding an adequate one for <$700 is a struggle…

damn man, who are you working for? tax write off? should be no problem spending much more than this if you can justify it with a business plan.

      • Can pick up a portable android projector for $500 shipped with 4g/WiFi - try ZTE SPRO2
Surprisingly bright for small to medium room and portable so can be locked away.

We have one of these and absolutely love it. One of the best purchases we've every made.
That's not to say it doesn't have issues. Can be a tad loud, which does worry us since we have it in a different room separated by sliding doors. And it's not great in bright lights, so probably not suitable for work presentations unless you can darken the room a lot.

But if you're ever wanting to try out a projector and see what it's like having a 3m x 2m screen, then this is the perfect choice, imo.

        • Thanks LeifSmart - I'm actually curious about this thing from a purely recreational perspective. But you might be right RE: not as suited for presentations. Cheers!

        • Where did you buy from. These guys only ship to US apparently.

          • +1

@ccrap: We bought it direct from them and they shipped it to us in melbourne. Total price was under $400 and the delivery was really quick since we were wanting it for an event.

This was a year ago though so maybe they've changed?

  • any one compare this with a Epson EH-TW6x00 ?

  • Just checked site and price now $1,999.
