Trying to search for statistics, seems like it is actually one home invasion every 3 minutes. Latest data is from 2018, but the page discusses 2019.

    https://www.budgetdirect.com.au/home-contents-insurance/rese…

Also, this is a ridiculous way of describing statistics. If you take in a larger area (e.g. The world), then there will be even less seconds between a robbery.

Also, Australian home invasions are generally non violent, and happen during the day.

    • Agreed. Classic pathetic marketing.

I didn't think uniden Hybrid DVR systems worked with with android 10 any more, so if you plan on upgrading your uniden DVR system with this camera, as i did you will find that the software no longer works,so you may want to look at alternatives.

  • Got one.
Hopefully it is good compared to the Chinese DaFang ones.

Just out of curiosity, have anyone here ever provide these sort of footage to the police and get any result from it? We have night vision footage of theft from our place, the police seem to uninterested. I think unless it involve murder and death, these cctv footage are just useless.

Don’t want to stereotype, but most police are like this (ones that I have meet anyways).

Ones that I’ve met are hard-working, dedicated and moral individuals that deal with the worst of society day in and day out. What’s the worst day of your life is something that they encounter each and every day.

        • Depends on the suburb I think.
I think it more like once in a while, rather than day in day out.

  • I had 1 aggravated burglary and 2 attempted buglary. In our apartment (12 units) it self 8 in last 7 months. Therefore install new CCTV but police not interested .Once i chased alleged offender who had knife and caught him up.police give him bail despite he broke 2 previous times clearly showed in cctv and matching finger prints. Very frustrated . I live in Central Parramatta,NSW
