JB Hi-Fi - OPPO Reno 2Z $0 Upfront When You Port to Telstra $65/Month - 12 Month Plan (Min Cost $780) - In Store Only

210

Was browsing through JB HiFi Website this morning and saw this deal for the OPPO Reno 2Z.
OPPO Reno2 Z usually $599 Outright. Sign on to $65 Plan for 12 Months ($780) and paying $181 for the plan over 12 months ($15.08/month) for 60GB + Unlimited call/text in Australia.
Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Looks like the deal ends by the end of the day (23/01/2020)

  • just a tip: on their website the images on their pages gave the impression of stereo speakers, and the dolby atmos wording was there too, and the reno 2 is stereo speakers, but the 2z is NOT stereo speakers. only single speaker. regardless the phone is really nice and the selfie camera has some RGB lights that gently glow on when the camera rises. fingerprint is much better then the R series too.

And if you really want to, you can terminate the contract early for $390 on these plans.

    • So signed up then terminate the contract and all you do is pay $390?

      • +1

Yeah, it'll appear in your Telstra Account as a cost to terminate.

I recently cancelled 6 months in for the bonus reward point offer for going to monthly plans…

It's always half the plan plus any handset payments (when applicable).

        • You mean terminate after 6 months? Can you terminate after the first month? I haven't been on mobile plan for more than 10 years.

          • +1

@HandsomeMonkey: Yeah you can terminate immediately.

If you feel the phones worth the straight out cost. Then maybe sign up for the $45 plan with a $200 gift card….

Unsure how it effects things like credit checks if you keep doing things like this though… Someone else may be able to elaborate.

            • @scuderiarmani:

Unsure how it effects things like credit checks

I highly doubt it effects it. You are paying out an agreed future debt early. How is that an issue?

              • +2

@Muzeeb: Except your credit file won't show you paid it off or no longer in contract.

Having a bunch of credit checks won't look Good if you're looking for a loan in the future.

Now this looks more like a "getable deal" lol.

    • Compared with ?

        Free S10s lol

          True. the bad guys. Lol.

      This is consolation deal.

  • Being an official AU sold model I would assume this includes B28 as GSMArena does not list it.

Also on JB HiFi listing it states Bluetooth V4.2 where GSMArena states V5 ( CPU can support V5 ).

I have never owned an Oppo before although they look like good value, but the OS has always put me off.

This looks like a really good phone if anyone is game to get it and cancel contract in the first month

    getting this phone for $390 + $65 I assume Total = $455.

    • If you terminate immediately, you only have to pay $390.

      • That's even better then, was not sure if you can do that. So, you sign contract and cancel on same day?
Have you or someone you know done this successfully?

Afaik TGG doesn't have a $49 plan… only the $45 and $65… I have had a look on their website and I can't locate it.

Could you help out by posting the link please?

          Cheers

Maybe you got a special deal similar to the guy with the Galaxy S10+ 512gb yesterday.

Sounds a bit too good to be true, but if you can provide further info……then thanks.
