    So it’s for non Woolies-Caltex servo’s? & thus tofu can’t use your woolies 4c off, but you get woolies points?

        Caltex do not have an app to store the gift card to check balance. Google Pay can't check the balance either.

        But if you are not paying via a gift card then this is a good deal

          But there is no reason not to use a gift card because 5% is normally >6c saving.

            @MadMaxBargainRoad: Except this offer applies at locations where you can't use the gift card. So if you don't have a Woolworths petrol station nearby then this becomes a decent alternative.

            @MadMaxBargainRoad: Except you could double dip and get 6c 0ff and pay with giftcard! I have $250 worth of giftcards to use but you can't use this offer and pay in store. Also there is no way (that I can find) to add the gift cards to the payment options in the app.

              @[Deactivated]: My assumption was that the 5% gift card mentioned was in reference to the Woolworths 5% gift cards, which are available to everybody, but can only be used in Woolworths Caltex petrol stations.

              For those that have access to the 5% discounted Caltex gift cards, then those would be a better option than this deal.

    If a customer is not allowed to use the 5% gift card then this is a bad deal. Currently, I am saving 4c/litre + 5% with with the Woolworths gift card. Why would I switch to this? This double rewards points saves customers what additional 0.5%? and that's only if you earn a full 2000 points. It is better to get a 5% off straight away with the Woolworths gitf card.

      You can use a woolworths gift card to pay for fuel? Or are you talking about the starcard for caltex?

        But this app also can't take star card for payment,otherwise it would still be a good deal for those who can get cheaper star cards (6c plus 5% discount)

          hmm i didnt know i could use the woolies gift cards to pay for fuel, dont think you could always do it right? Must have only been changed in the recent years? Makes it quite worthwhile especially with the 4c off vouchers. Can you use coles gift card to pay for fuel at coles?

            @lonewolf: Could always pay for fuel with Wish gift card at the Woolworths branded servos. It's pretty much 4c off plus 5% off everyday.

            Standard Coles gift cards can't be used to pay for fuel, only the Coles Express gift cards. I've never seen the Express cards discounted except for on the gift card wiki.

            Though with Coles it's possible to stack the quite regular 6/8/10c off Flybuys promos with either Linkt or CarSales plus the normal 4c off receipts. Just gotta do the maths at fill up time which ends up cheaper, assuming both servos are competitive in your area.

              @Junk Sifter: Correct normal Coles GC cannot be used, however those Coles/Myer GC (which can be used at multiple locations like Kmart, Target, Officeworks etc can be used at Coles Express - the GC would have Coles Express logo at the back).

                  @Junk Sifter: Some of us had got AMEX and Comm bank cashback offers (for shopping at Myers) and we purchased those Coles/Myer GCs from Myers (and we did get the cashback) :)

      I got 5 x $50 Caltex cards 20% off a while ago and still hadn't used them. Was looking for a way to double dip with this offer but doesn't seem possible.

        Yeah the app should allow Caltex GC so we can use the discount. At present the best way to maximise is to use at the Caltex gc at Woolies Caltex pumps (and use Woolies 4 c discount)

      The app doesn't allow you to stack the staff 4c off with this 6c off. Only let's you use one.

    Just upsized a coffee with the grumpiest assistant ever! "You can't use that without a the fuel purchase"! yes, you can. "WELL, you certainly can't get a stamp and on the loyalty card"! (Manager comes over) "Yes of course he can!"

    $2 coffee for $1 never tasted so sweet. Small victories, stay polite! 😀

        It's frustrating to meet people like that but it's also sad. I don't know what's going on in their life but I know people who are going through tough times can sometimes be reactive over small things.

        Fair enough. Here in Perth petrol prices cycle to be cheapest on Tuesdays which means big lines. I like 7 Eleven as I can skip those lines on other days of the week

    I went to Caltex Laverton North today and when I tried to pay using the Caltex App "Fuelpay is not available at this location"

    So you need to check that FuelPay is available even if its a co-branded Caltex/Woolworths site in a big city.

    what is the lockout criteria after the 3? Plastic card or sim card? Either are avail for free in "burner versions" if one has the time so discount forever!!
