Great price for Orient Ray II Mechanical Automatic Divers Watch

Incredibly much value for money! - Review by Jan from Norway

"Orient with it's japanese quality and inhouse movements is one of my favorite brands of watches! For me this Ray II is a great watch for most occations, the nice blue sunburst dial with matching bezel combined with details like the signed screw down crown and a solid bracelet feel and for me a perfect size makes it a winner! Hack and wind movement with a long power reserve and an overall high quality feel with good weight makes it punch way above it's class. Timeless classic design that never will become out of fashion. This is my first time shopping at Dutyfreeislandshoop, but based on my first impression it will not be the last. Good price, fast shipping and plenty of information and updates for the shipment makes it a good buying experience. So far both this watch and the company is highly recommended!"

Great prices. Would recommend to anyone looking to get into mechanical watches.

Absolutely, for the price what you get is pretty amazing. 6hz Orient in house movement with day-date complications and 120 click dive bezel. Size is good for most male wrists and bracelet is decently comfortable (if not amazing).

Japanese build quality is as expected and punches above its price range. Keeps decent time too, better than what the specs suggest.

Got one in black last year as a present for one of my friends and he hasn't taken it off since.

One thing to note is that the mineral crystal is more prone to scratches than sapphire on more expensive watches.

Wow you're a generous friend. Nice.

    • This is a great model but it's hard to find. I believe it is discontinued.

  • These are lovely affordable divers. The Pepsi Mako II was a personal favourite, I just couldn’t get on with the rattling bracelet and mineral crystal. Definitely one of the nicest dials in its price range.

  • I also am wondering when and if this watch will be back in stock?

    • I don't think we would have this in stock again :/

  • Orient make great watches, and these are very good prices, particularly the Mako.

If people are interested in the Bambino Version 4, it’s currently AUD$162.07 delivered on Amazon.

    • I see the price $209.81 (AUD I believe) how to get from AUD$162.07? Is it with free shipping?

      • Yeah, it is. Not sure why it’s showing something else for you? Pricing confirmed by the camels? Am I the only one seeing this price?

        • yeah its 162.07 AUD + free shipping with prime on amazon. Dunno if Sammas is being shown a different price for a diff country?

          • @mrshorty: Gone back up to $204.12, so that didn't last long.

          • @mrshorty: Probably that, different country and no prime.

    • difference between mako and ray is the ray just has dots and the mako had 4 numerals on the dial.
not sure if movement is different.

Unless you're counting cashback or something

      • was definitely $208.62 not incl cashback - think amazon changes the price when there are purchases so now its 224.90

        • I'm seeing $218.95 now

  • They are closed till 29th. Or am I missing something? Weird that they wont take any order during this period.

    • Hi, Unfortunately we had to close our shop during these times. To protect the staff from going to the office and also no many flights available to send air parcels. Hopefully, we will be back soon!
