    Wow. Terrible cpu?

The first question, the most important question, is always, "What are you going to use this for?"

This CPU is absolutely fine for ordinary internet browsing, ordinary home office activity, watching videos and all the things that ordinary people use their computer for.

If you want to play games, you will need something else.

it isn't but since the upgrade to 4 core mobile chips for 8th Gen it pales in comparison.

You can look at it as if it were a faster i3 variant.
      Price is good either way.

    • I agree, I wouldn’t buy anything without at least a pass mark score of 4K. Even for entry level laptop. It may work today comfortably but will slog the coming year.

  • Looks good for a student only needing YouTube and work processing for under 500 bucks. Any better ideas with full warranty? Or is this about as good as it gets with 3 month warranty?

  • can do x265 movies?

    • will play them ok. Probs not 4k though.

  • Not bad, but personally I'll spend a little bit more and wait for a good deal on a brand new Thinkpad E495

    • I have 2 Dell pentium laptops around 15 years old that still run, however i have 3 lenovo devices that all died around the 2 year mark. Thus i do not recommend a lenovo and rather a workhorse that Dell produce.

      • Thinkpad series are the most reliable laptop out there, it is the only laptop certified for use on the International Space Station (ISS) since 1998.

        Proof: Thinkpad in space

        • The quality of Thinkpad T series is better than E series and of course the price higher…
