    My mistake

    • What the …. :)

    • Lemme guess: "This is a normal price for a 3.5" HDD" ???

  • Good deal! :) Price match Office works? haha

  • Is it usb 3.0 or usb 2?

    • It's USB 2.0..

Not sure if I should get this or spend abit more for USB 3.0. I don't have a usb 3.0 right now though lol

  • Details would be nice:) Anyone know what drive and what interface? USB 3.0 would be great.

  • probably 2.0

    • I think so.

    • Definitely - going by the clearly seen connector in the zoom images

Isn't that the going price for 1TB these days?

    • No. usb-powered (2.5") cost more than 3.5" ones.

    • It is from Amazon.com for usb 3.0. Of course you also have to pay for postage, but if you combine with a few items postage becomes very cheap. I recently purchased 7 items off amazon including 2 Seagate drives. Postage came down to $22, a bit over $3 per item.

      • plus 3 weeks wait also

        • Two weeks tops.
Get it from B&H if you want it the following week.
Ordered some things last Wednesday, arrived on Tuesday.

  • Hard Drive is USB 2.0.

    • yes, and not goflex either. Model number ST910004EXA101-RK

WD Elements - Same config for $79.99 (inclusive postage)

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/WD-ELEMENTS-1TB-EXTERNAL-USB-2-0-…

    • and surely not only for an hour! lolz

      • Great price, but the warranty offered by DSE should probably also be factored into the price. Worst case scenario where the drive fails, it would be a bit of a pain to have to return it to an ebayer, whereas most DSE staff would probably swap it out.

I notice that ebay also limits their returns to within 7 days. Not sure that is really within the statutory requirements…..

Unless of course WD is far superior to Seagate?

        • Ebay does mention it comes with 3 years WD warranty. But I agree.. it wud be easier to go to DSE rather then going to WD directly.

When is DSE doing a deal for the Western Digital 1TB My Passport Essential USB 3.0/2.0 for $79?

    • This will be a better deal. Was this deal up before?

    • Not for months.

  • Just bought 1, free postage too… cheers!

  • just got one+one=two :-), deal is ok for a 2.5" USB 2.

  • I got one as well. The one hour sale window is a bit gimmicky and annoying, but if that's what drives interest, so be it.
