[Pre Order, PS4] Final Fantasy VII Remake $68 + Delivery (or $0 Click and Collect) @ Harvey Norman

140

Got an email this morning featuring this offer, as far as I can tell this looks like the best price for a local standard edition copy. Available April 10th 2020.

They also have TLOU2 (PS4 only), Cyberpunk and Resident Evil 3 (both PS4 and XB1) available for preorder at $68.

  • This'll definitely help the people trying to manage their funds during closures as a result of Covid-19. Hope everyone is staying safe.

I’m getting tatts and sleeping with various hookers. But I’m wearing a mask, so I should be safe.

      • Good luck with your Herpes…

        • +1

The herpes will get corona and die, cos they’re not wearing masks.

  • I know there is no PC mentioned here but if you are looking at Cyberpunk for the PC GOG is the best place to purchase it in terms of supporting CD Project Red.

From the website- "When buying Cyberpunk 2077 on GOG.COM, 100% of your money goes to CD PROJEKT Group."

    Nice find though OP!

    • probably best saved for a different post? Maybe a forum dedicated as an FYI?

      • Well I wasn't sure, as I was torn between the two platforms but the fact GOG seems to support CDPR swayed my decision

        • CDPR owns GOG.

It's a superior store because it's anti-DRM so no titles on there have DRM removing your rights as a user.

        • the fact GOG seems to support CDPR swayed my decision

That would be cause GOG is CDPR :-)

GOG.com (formerly Good Old Games) is a digital distribution platform for video games and films. It is operated by GOG sp. z o.o., a wholly owned subsidiary of CD Projekt based in Warsaw, Poland.

Something to keep in mind. From the checkout:

Typically dispatched in 2-4 business days after the release date.

Given FF7 remake is releasing on April 10th which is Easter holiday long weekend, I may not get it until the 20th according to their website.

    • Amazon has always delivered on release day for my preorders if you want release day delivery, they will price match.

      • +1

Release day 10 April is Good Friday. No one will be making deliveries on Good Friday or Easter Monday so you won't be getting the order from Amazon until Tuesday.

        • My "guarenteed delivery date" of April 10th says otherwise, worse comes to worse, I end up with some free amazon credit. I have even recieved a preorder 1 day early in the past (Borderlands 3).

Sure as hell beats ordering from this mob. Last time I bought a game from gerry it took 1 month of waiting just for them to ring and tell me they have no stock, tgen another 3 calls for them to actually process a refund which took like another 3 weeks.

          • @Vinodra: Who is making deliveries on Good Friday? No one. If you're happy waiting 4 extra days to pocket the Amazon credit go for it. I'd rather play the game over my Easter break.

            • @His_Holiness: For what it's worth, I just spoke to the Amazon Live Chat and they said:

If the release date remains same the item should be shipped on 10 April no matter if it is a public holiday.

              • @mangobango: Even if they dont deliver it on release date due to a public holiday people who preorder on amazon will likely just get it a day early, just recieved an Australia Post tracking notification that my copy of Animal Crossing New Horizons will be delivered tomorrow, a day early.

    • Will Harvey Norman be open Good Friday to pick this up?

  • Aka: FF7 Midgar re-told

Not to say it will or won't be good.

    • So only the Midgar bits?

      • Yep. The remake is going to be 3 parts. This is part 1, which is apparently an expanded version of the Midgar section from the original.

        • But I assume they’re all big stand alone games?

  • Have they announced how long the game will be yet and when part 2 etc will come out?

    • So is thiis remake not a full game of the FF7?

      • It's just Midgar afaik.

      • Think of it as a reboot not a remake

      • Its an episodic release, part 1 will cover Midgar only

      • I looked into it maybe a week ago - not sure if information has changed since then… but even though it's only going to cover a sub-section of the origional game, this game release is still expected to have the content of a "full game" - (maybe 50+hours)?

So $204 to play this FF 7 reboot?

    • About $300 RRP.

But it’s more like say Gears or Halo I assume. Stand alone separate games. But the story progresses and in this case is pre planned.

  • Why isn't Amazon price-matching this? And no more $5 pre-order discount either.

  • It's available instore now at EB games and JB hifi
