It is not free. It gives you 14 days free trial. It says: "Billed monthly after trial. Cancel future payments anytime"
It asks card details etc. If you don't cancel your subscription after 14 days you'll get charged. I think the summary is written to confuse users.

    • if that's true not a bargain - actually it's a mare's nest

    • Fixed.

      • Thank you Neil for improving my post.

I should have put more effort into it. I hope people find this useful.

I will miss doing my regular Pump classes. Stay safe everyone.

They have free content that you can access without a login/subscription. I just had a quick look and a lot of the content is still locked but there are a few 55 minute workouts that can be accessed.

I'm a Body Combat instructor. These have been available all along - Les Mills On Demand (LMOD) for a subscription fee. They are just making it free to ppl who can't or choose not to attend gyms now. I have many member friends who were already looking into signing up and so will really appreciate this altruistic gesture.

      • Yep, I was considering the same, so I appreciate it.

You literally work for them. This is an ad.

This place is hysterical. Virtue signal saying youfoodz is racist when the CEO and his wife slag off Asians, but when a company shills their workouts piggybacking on a pandemic when people are dying (or during the bushfires) dollar signs light up in everyone's eyes because it's a great deal

OzInconsistentMorals. Bring on the downvotes and stay mad

eh? this would e like Netflix giving people access to some of their library for free.

it's not like it's free for 2 weeks, they're saying whilst this is going one, which will be at least a few months

Work for them? I actually would not promote this at all if i had my self-interest in mind. I need ppl to go to the gym to teach classes. $$$? Its free!

This site is rubbish and has sold itself out when it got too popular

Another instructor here. FYI typically instructors aren't employed by Les Mills but by facilities with the programs ie gyms. Instructors don't get any benefit from people doing the workouts at home vs the gym, other than maybe someone new trying the program and deciding to then do it at a gym.

On another note, there are countless posts on social media where participants were asking for this since their clubs have closed for safety. They didn't have to do this but they did, and it seems well received by many who get to keep doing the classes.

        • You're struggling with comprehension in order to wave your flags, aren't you?

  • Thanks

  • Can you download those videos?

  • Thanks op, love these workouts :) . I quit the gym so this is fantastic.

These workouts are awesome! Thanks OP

  • Shall we start another thread to share the experience of lesmilles, like which workout should i do at home? i am inclined to do the HIIT cardio one. Any other recommendations? Note i dont have (want to use) any equipment except for a few rubber bands.

    • +1

You don’t need equipment for Body Combat, Body attack & Body Balance.

    • +1

As mentioned by lusical, you don't need equipment for bodycombat, bodyattack, or bodybalance. Also for the following (not sure what's on LMOD right now): Barre, GRIT Cardio, Tone, Bodyjam, Sh'bam.

By rubber band do you mean some sort of resistance band or similar? If so, you could possibly also do Cxworx. They occasionally use weight plates for this class too, however, often show alternatives with the band or you can forgo it.

Let me know if you have other questions

My favourite is Les Mills Body Combat

  • Love Body Attack, used to do it 3-4 times/week.

  • Got a NZ Les Mills membership (lifetime) can I use it in Qld ?

    • Not if it's a membership for the Les Mills gyms in NZ. You'd have to sign up with whichever gym you visit in QLD, or perhaps you could get a free trial.

    • So, you should be able to get a 60 day free trial instead of the 14 day trial when you sign up using your LMNZ member ID. Not sure where exactly you'd put it, apparently there's some kind of prompt, or perhaps a 'coupon' area for it to go?

Great to see it's free for people to try.
I attend gyms to do these classes but have also subscribed to Les Mills on demand (Lmod) for last three years as it's convenient when classes are not at a suitable time.
The classes I'm confident in I go to the gym to do but the ones that I'm not so great at I do at home where no one will see me trying.

  • Anyone can recommend a good value barbell set for Body Pump. I know Les Mills sell them, but for $300+, it's too expensive for home use

    • +1

      Big W sell a set for $39 - here

      • Nice. That sort of thing would be perfect for Bodypump. Only other thing then would be a step, but even then it's not completely necessary.

  • Do you guys see the 100+ workouts? I only see about 20 odd, mainly one from each program and a few short ones…

Regardless definitely appreciative of Les Mills! I go to their classes daily and still do (practising good hygiene and social distancing).

Thanks I will start this once I finish my 1000+ udemy courses which I haven't started

  • Had a look at one of the videos and was instantly out. How are you supposed to follow what they are doing when the camera is all over the place like a rap video

  • Body Combat #80, is almost an NZ tourism ad…

  • Just tried the body combat. First half is pretty cruisy then it kicks in when the pushups start. Not too shabby for a free workout.
