Telstra $65/Pm for 24 Months /W 80GB & $700 Credit Towards a Phone (Port in & New Services, in-Store Only) @ JB Hi-Fi

130

My first deal, be gentle.

Spotted this at the bottom of an e-mail from JB H-Fi this morning, unfortunately clicking on the link takes you to the usual $500 off deal with no mention of $700.

People may have gripes about the 24 month contract but maybe the extra $200 credit is enough to entice you.

Usual T&C apply.

For terms & conditions visit www.jbhifi.com.au/telstra-terms. Phone credit can only be used in store and is received when you connect to the $65 JB plan over 24 months. To receive the $700 phone credit the handset purchase price must be a minimum value of $999. Phone credit can’t be used on any other items in store. handset must be purchased the same day the connection is made. Please refer to store staff for further enquiries.

  • The $500 credit on 12 month was decent value depending on the phone, this doesn't seem to be decent value at all. Overall 2 years is costing you $860, plus you may have to pay more to get a phone.

    • I think the 12 month deal has been $400 for quite a while now, also the 24 month plan has an extra 20GB a month.. Not that I barely use 10GB a month lol

      • Yea I just bought the optus $150 365 day sim with 120gb for this very reason. $150 for 12 months is incredible value.

  • Still a decent deal I think when you compare the costs of actual 24 month contracts with phones these days - where you are basically just paying off the phone over 24 months.

0 need at the moment for people to lock themselves in 24m contracts & pay X amount upfront, you dont need the latest & greatest gadgets in times like this, be realistic tough times ahead for many, dont sign up to something you dont need

    • it will be interesting to see the NBN performance in the next few weeks as most ppls will be WFH and stay at home. I have 80gb on my plan and I used it at home as well because the NBN is extremely slow in the last few days.

having no issues atm (with telstra) but your right big test to come over coming weeks/months, have to go old school back to board games if internet becomes unusable lol

  • Would be good if it was only 12 months
