Why is the Blackvue Power Magic Pro $100 when adding on to Blackvue DR750s IR, while its only $70 stand alone?

Why is the Blackvue Power Magic Pro $100

That would be the website's fault - not mine, at all sketchy eyes - I've made the change, it should reflect properly now.

  • $549 at Autobarn rn

    • And our offer is $461.60 for the same unit… $87 cheaper?

      • Ah lol read that as the 900

        • All good man! I was at a loss as what you were saying hahaha

  • Can't add 900S-2CH to cart. shows $0.00

    • You haven't selected what Capacity you're after. It's a drop-down box just about the Add To Cart button.

  • Hi OP, do you provide warranty on the installation?

    • +1

Sure do. The install is covered for the life of the car while it's with you.

      • +1

What is warranty on installation supposed to mean? Once its installed, thats it, what more would you want?

        • +1

Not sure if this is a serious question?

The installation is hard wired into your car's battery with the PMP. My question regarding warranty was whether any issue/fault down the track post-installation that affects the dashcam/battery is covered (basically, workmanship).

          • +1

@daiguren: It is a fair question I suppose, especially with brand new cars. You're right, with the DR-PMP, we are putting a foreign object in.

Our install team are all qualified auto electricians that have been specialist in car audio for at least 5-years. We routinely do $10,000+ rewiring and custom installs for Pac Performance and speciality cars the country over. We stand by our work and are happy to cover it 😁

      • Thanks OP, will be making a purchase later this evening!

  • Is this discount in lieu of the new dr750-2ch-lte-4g model coming out?

And do you know if the dr900 will get the same treatment with LTE?

    • It's to assist in making way for new models, yes. The DR900x will be coming soon COVID-19 permitting.

  • Can anyone vouch for these new blackvues? I had a blackvue that i bought about 5 years ago that stopped working after only 2 years. I assume it was from the heat. Are the new models more suited to australian climate?

  • Also another question. When selecting capacity on checkout, that is the capacity of the sd card it comes with not the maximum capacity of the camera correct?

    • Can anyone vouch for these new blackvues?… Are the new models more suited to Australian climate?

Correct, the first generation of Blackvues didn't fair too well under the Australian Sun. This current batch (as well as the incoming) are much better suited. They have an operating temperature limit of 70°.

that is the capacity of the sd card it comes with not the maximum capacity of the camera correct

That is correct. You can buy a 32GB Blackvue, then, at a later time, add a larger capacity card. However, the card has to meet certain criteria such as read/write speed etc. being an authorised reseller, we can't directly show you, or offer you the one - but there's plenty of places on the other side of a Google search that explains it all.

      • Great, thanks!
I will probably go for the 900s.
I have a power magic from when I had a DR3500-FHD. Will this still work fine for the dr900s-2ch?
Also is there any differences internally re. components or parts wise that make this different to the new 4g cloud version?
        Thanks
