How do you become eligible for these? I've seen so many of these posts but have never received an email with a promo code from uber eats, I checked my settings a few months back and I have marketing ticked, I'm just never eligible :(
I have two uber eats accounts and only get emails for one of them. I have no idea and it is not in spam etc.
Do you use 2 separate cards and IP addresses for those 2? because they are eagle eyed in cracking down

@Chuckles79: Be careful, first they banned my numbers, then cards now catch by IP address. I can't even pay them to order something they just disable my accounts every time

For those who are asking how you get these codes
They target people who don't usually order much
I usually order 2 - 3 meals a week. Cheat meals, main and desert and sometimes lunch
The mrs gets these promotions as she barely uses itPro Tip
Get 3 -4 sims and keep them handy. You will get them :) on different accountsEnjoy and use it wisely. Dont abuse it otherwise everyone will miss out
People might know this already but for those that don't, Uber eats takes 30%+ commission on each order. As the economy grinds to a halt, maybe try calling the store direct and seeing if they offer an in-house delivery service.
There are a lot of small local businesses that are already struggling to stay open so anything extra would help.
I understand the need to support local business. This question is unrelated to the current situation but I was just wondering. Is there a reason that the cost for ubereats is the same as direct? It seems to make sense to buy with ubereats and get discounts than to pay full price.
Super simple example:
- Local chicken shop charges $20 for a roast chook, chips, and salad.
- Uber takes $6 out of the $20 leaving $14 for the shop.
- When there are discount codes, that's Uber sacrificing part or all of their cut.Normally this isn't as much of an issue as Uber can be good for clearing stock that would otherwise be treated as wastage, but you need walk-in volume to offset the hit you take from Uber eating (no pun intended) into your margin. Also, not all local shops had a delivery service in the past so Uber was a good way to get more exposure.
There are many businesses on the brink of closing, and places I know are starting to offer delivery services to try and keep casual staff employed for as long as possible so it's worth a phonecall.
