Nice price for this lens. 80c doesn't "shatter" a price this high though.

    **Edit:
That FE 85F18 price is excellent. It's an awesome lens.

55 1.8 is also a great price, my favourite lens ever.

That piece was written sarcastically/ironically and hence the exclamation mark!

They are likely old stock, bought when the AUD was much higher. Next shipment no doubt will cost the distributors more, they will pass on the cost to consumers. Interesting news from Apple US today
“ Apple (AAPL) – Apple is limiting online purchases of iPhones to two per customer, as it deals with supply chain disruptions as well as the closing of its brick-and-mortar stores outside China”

    • Good to know.

    • Or maybe since their sales are greatly affected by travel bans, they are reducing their profit margin to stay operational!

    Don't forget TRS if you're going overseas soon…. Oh… dang. ;-)

I really want that 85mm. Sooo tempting.

  • some great prices
I would have been all over this if I didn't change systems

    • what did you change to, i changed from Canon to Sony. but looking to change again cause still too big for a average joe

      • I changed to Olympus.

there was a deal recently for e-m5 mark ii and I jumped on it. worked out to be $370 for camera body, and another $470 for 3 lenses that do everything I need. I got much more than that back selling my full frame body and lenses.

Olympus is amazingly light and compact, controls are abundant, and image quality is amazing. after one click post processing I see zero difference.

        • that does sound like a good deal! im thinking if i should go just mobile phone or get a smaller mirrorless … still deciding

          • @SS625: on a sunny day modern phone is fine

I admit however that the best shots in my library are taken using canon full frame and 70 200 2.8 but that combination weighs a ton

and then again I must admit that on Olympus it's the easiest to make camera do what I want to do with a click or two

  • Anyone knows if clearzoom works with any of those lenses?
