Unlimited Usenet 12-Month Plan with Free VPN and Web Search - US$48 (~AU$82.86) @ Easynews

60

If you haven't tried Easynews before then I would highly recommend it. Easynews is one of the few / only Usenet providers that offers a web based Usenet solution. This means that you can search and download from Usenet without the use of a newsreader or indexing service, you just need a web browser. With that being said, they still provide you with the traditional NNTP access, but if you want to gain the ability to access Usenet directly from your phone then Easynews is for you.

I had to dig to find this offer since it appears to be targeted towards new users, but I emailed their support team and they price matched it for me. The normal Easynews plans are crazy expensive so $48USD for a year. This plan will give you unlimited GB's of Web and NNTP downloads, 60 connections and a free VPN service.

    RIP Aussie dollar 😢

    • Yeah sad isn't it!

  • Sorry OP, not worth investing in anything that charges in USD at the moment. The dollar is shot to shit.

    • Dont insult shit

  • Are there any Usenet providers who are offering service in AUD? In regards to this Easynews service, I just signed up for the free trial to check out this web search feature that is mentioned by the OP. Seems legit, I'm pulling search results easily without the need of geek / index and it appears to play content directly in my mobile device…. cool.

Thanks OP, I'm going to test over the weekend and if it works well I will buy this deal. If I do, hopefully when the renewal happens the conversion is more in my favour.

  • I used Easynews for years and the web interface is really handy - no messing around with nzb clients etc.

I switched to UsenetServer because of a massive price difference but I'm tempted to go back now..

  • Seems a bit pricey. As for the free VPN - Privado - has serious problems. Checkout Reddit posts on Privado.

  • Is Usenet still a thing in 2020? I used to use this service back in the early and mid 2000s

  • This is great - I am currently on the Big Gig plan which costs a lot more. I have emailed to ask to switch over.

Do you know how many nntp connections are allowed on this Plan? My current one allows 40.

[EDIT] I just noticed, you mentioned its 60.
