Hey everyone, long time lurker first time poster.

Breathtaking detail, amazing clarity and exquisite contrast offered by the LG OLED C9 TV must be seen to be believed. Hair-raising blacks and vibrant colours, enriched by LG's powerful NEW Alpha 9 Gen2 Intelligent Processor and depth of colour offered by 4K Cinema HDR with Dolby Vision produce a truly cinematic experience.

Let me know if I am missing crucial details!

    • I ordered the 55 inch on monday, listed as in stock. Still not sent, no idea when as they give no indication.

  • Weird. We ordered ours and picked up next day.

I think the good deals are around $2600-$2700.

    • Yeah but with the dollar as it is I wonder when we'll see those kind of deals again.

Wonder if it's worth upgrading my 55 b6

      • Unless it doesn't work is is broken in some way, I would hold out. Even spending $2600 on this TV I felt like it was a bit too much. Looks incredible but it's something you have to look after.

  • I have the 55 and am very happy. What they say about OLED and daylight is correct though - I find it almost unwatchable if I have the curtains open. Worth it for the night time cinema experience!

Yeah that goes for most tv's mate..

Unless it's an entry level led LCD which has a matte screen

    • Wow, I mean I had 2 older LCD's (3 and 5 years old), and my OLED is about 10 times brighter than any of them.

    still holding out for. 2.6k

    • I think we may be FUBAR for a while given our dollar has absolutely shat the bed.

      • I think there price goes down if demand goes down…

        • Price also goes up when cost goes up. It's not just the USD our dollar has fallen against.

    • You missed it already ;-)

  • If you look at the sales history price prior to eBay promo was $2950.

    Same price at ApplianceCentral.

    • $12 less at ApplianceCentral with postage.

Usually the C series has dried up by this time of year and you can't get stock, if I was looking id be tempted.

Price of these and the speed at which they are on sale seems to come down with every gen and the next series can't be too far away from hitting stores but will be interesting to see how they fare with the low dollar.

  • Jb has the B9 for $2700 at my local store. The b9 was delivered to someone instead of C9 so it's been opened but in perfect condition. Do you think this the B9 is good and alright at this price for someone who can n ver get these email deals due to shipping to the NT.

There's been a couple deals on here for the B9 for $2400/2500.

The C9 has had deals for around $3000. There were a couple exceptions where the C9 went as low as $2600/2700, but it would risky to wait for that again. I heard it originally went that low last December due to LG cashbacks to sellers.

      • The B9 does not get quite as bright as the C9 (according to RTINGS specs)
      • The B9 uses a slower processor than the C9 (Alpha 7 gen 2 vs Alpha 9 gen 2). A couple people have said the interface on the B9 is a little laggier compared to the C9. The C9 may also have a little more processing tricks/abilities due to the faster processor.
  • $2950 plus $77 delivery for me. Where am I going wrong?

  • With the lockdown coming, will we be able to get our TVs delivered?

    • probably the van driving behind the delivery truck will then take it away since no receipt required because of the covid contactless delivery…. contactless delivery is just designed to assist thieves to steal absolutely everything…biggest growth industry next to charging for pretending to care…. pollies are just so good at this its good to know they are good at something even if its just the conjob. why no test kits in march- well because we're developing a better one than the ones used in south korea since January to control covid surge…sounds just the firefighting bullshit….
