I don't know why the PC version is so expensive, even with 30% off it is still $39.86.

I am expecting this game have similar difficulty as hollow knight?
They're different genres, so maybe not.
I finished Shovel Knight. Tough, but rewarding. Wouldn't call it excruciating.
So Treasure Trove used to cost under $30 for a digital version, but upon the physical release Yacht Club increased the digital price for parity.
They made this pretty clear when they were doing it and why.
That being said, the main game is super good. Haven't explored the expansions too much, but the Smash Bros style expansion is quite fun.
Played Shovel Knight on 3ds and I got almost to the end and gave up. It gets pretty tough and at the time I didn't have the patience to die over and over to finally win.
The game was pretty fun though. Haven't played the expansions that are included in Treasure Trove.
