its not my prerogative to find out. Mainly relying on honesty and hopefully people will do the right thing

Unfotunately, due to the panic buying that has been happening, I doubt it

it's lovely to see someone who can do something, just doing what they can.

Probably a lesson for all of us - doesn't take much to try to help.

        Thankyou.

Thanks OP should help out a few people.

Great move OP. If you redeem this deal and you haven’t lost your job you should be ashamed of yourself

    • Or should probably die.

      • true true

This is part of my job, I get to play lucifer's lawyer (or devil's advocate…)

While in theory this is a very generous offer, unfortunately what you will find is that low income earners who are the main 'consumers' of prepaid sim cards will be taking up this offer, most likely without the loss of a job.

The people you are wanting to target are most likely, I'd say somewhere well in the region of 90%+ will have already signed up to a 12 or usually a 24 month phone plan. Probably something quite substantial due to recent phone releases. Law of averages state that only 5-10% of the population will be at the end of their plan anyway. Otherwise they will be stuck paying the rest off or quite possibly paying early exit fees etc.

So thanks for the offer and I hope it doesn't sink you! (If this doesn't make sense I am well past the point of needing to sleep)

    • +8

You wont be able to make any more calls.

      • or complain to anyone

I've never heard of your store but after your truly Australian act, I am going to make a future purchase and spread the word.

THANK YOU FOR BEING A TRUE BLUE AUSSIE MATE! :)

I lost part of my job, my company asked us if we want to do 4 day week with 5th day unpaid. Am I eligible?

    • +15

I'm sure you can still manage paying your existing phone bill with one day less work.

    • +10

did you lose part of your brain in the process?

      Username checks out.

  • Upvoting and not purchasing. Hope this helps someone out there.

  • Awesome work OP

I'm not purchasing as i don't fall into this category yet. In order to avoid people's panic buying, is anyone aware of good deals going on the moment where you get over 100gb data?

    • Closest I got to it was 80GB for $40.

What's the data for? Mobile mobile use or home use?

      • Yeah. Just home use. Moving to new place. Just need data to cover for 1 month of internet for working from home and occasional tv.

        WHich provider offered 80GB?

        • Optus, I'd be inclined to try the new 5G service if you are in an area which supports it. $70 a month for unlimited but $200-ish setup fee. That being said, the modem costs so damn much it's no surprise they are charging the fee.

      • Which one for mobile use?

Thanks. I just got fired from one of these telcos so this is a great consolation.

I checked the deal when it was first posted, didn't get it, and thought it might help some who may be struggling. A bit disappointed that the deal ended in just 2 hours. Somehow I doubt those 100+ who grabbed it have all just lost jobs due to Covid19.

This must be one of the highest votes to clicks ratios I've ever seen for silver medal rated deal. 212 to 699 at time of posting, so that would suggest that people are doing the right thing.

Awesome deal and well done OP. My wife lost her job today because of the virus. Fortunately she already has a Boost mobile deal with 9 months left or so, otherwise this would have been a great help.

  • Great help for those who are in needs. Definitely another generous support from the Spirit of Australian.

  • I agree +1 for the kind hearted Australian
-1 for the carefree without practicing social distancing (points at bondi junctionnincident)

  • Great move. I will not use it. I will leave it for people that really need it.
