What to ask your retailer when buying your sheepskin products.

Where are your skins from?
Where are they processed?
Are the boots hand cut, hand stitched, hand glued in Australia?
Ask for the address of manufacturer and tannery. There should be no reason why your retailer cannot provide you with details of the origin of your boots.

  • bought 1, see how it goes

  • Made in Roman

  • Thanks! Bought a pair will comment when the cone in.

    • Got mine delivered on 2/4. Exactly a week from placing order.

Very comfortable and warm. Very happy with the price and quality. Thanks!

  • Thanks Op, let us know if you offer on the other styles soon! Family now outfitted!

  • Thanks OP! Bought two pairs.

  • Can someone who ownes one of these confirm you actually need to size down? Ie if I'm a size 9US should I order an 8US or will it be too small? Cheers.

    • We recommend sticking with your US sizing.

  • when will this deal end?

    • We are not sure but stock is starting to run low.

  • Female size 11 is mens size 9…27.5 inner, 42 euro. Is that normal? I'm normally size 11 US so I think I will just get female. Can't see any other difference in product.

  • -2

    Poor sheep :(
Would this post be allowed if these were dog skin?

    • +1

      On ChinaBargain maybe, sure!

    • Only from humanely killed dogs I'm sure! Can't stand bad treatment of an animal before cutting their head off.

  • Thanks OP. Got 4 pairs, whole family kitted out now. Glad I saw this. My old made in China boots might need to go in the bin, hardly any (probably fake) sheep skin left on the inner sole.

  • -2

Are these from animals that had their tails ripped off without any painkillers; and were repeatedly shorn until they didn't grow enough fur, then got discarded like a pair of slippers?

    • No not at all. Our materials are all sourced ethically. Ugg boots are not made from shearing or anything to do with tails.

      • -2

So where do you get the wool from, if not from shearers? Animals shed it themselves? So mulesing in Victorian farms has no relation to UGG demand?

  • Is US size the same as Australian sizing?

  • I am still having trouble getting this to price $29.99. Mine comes up at $70 and when I apply coupon HOME it only gives me 20% off. Can someone please instruct me as to what to do. Tried 2 computers on 2 separate days. thanks

  • This deal will finish at 12PM today.

    • Oh still 11.30 in qld. Any chance to get a pair?

  • Has anyone received a notification of their order being shipped?

    • +1

      Nope… in the same boat.

      • please send me your order number to [email protected], we had a larger response than expected but all orders are being shipped as fast as possible. sorry for the delay.

        • Done. I’ll update here once there is progress.

      • Same here.

    • Me either. I just emailed them. Will post an update if they get back to me.

    • Mine was shipped last Friday. I'm assuming they've got a huge backlog of orders to get through. Check your junk emails though - mine showed up in there and I only realised it shipped because my Auspost app updated to show another parcel on the way.

  • Just received this reply after asking for an update:

"Sorry about any delay caused with your recent order. We have received a large quantity of orders recently and we are trying to send every one out as soon as possible. You will receive a tracking number once your order has been sent"

    • Same here. Glad for the quick response but the 2 things I'd like to know are:

      1. Do they have stock to fulfil all orders (they may have received thousands of orders and are working feverishly to fulfil like the loo paper and sanitiser manufacturers).
      2. Likely indication of delivery time (given these products are made locally in Laverton North Melb and it's nearly a week since our order, I think this is reasonable).

I wouldn't mind waiting longer but would like some more useful information.

Any chance of an update OP or am I asking too much in the circumstances?

      • Exactly my thoughts…not really much of an update was it?

        • +7

Hi, again apologies for any delay, we are currently shipping 600 orders per day, the problems we have is 1) Australia post cant send us more than 1 van per day to pick up more orders and 2) staff available to pack more than 1,000 orders per day.
Please try to hang in there with us, we should have all orders shipped this week.
We appreciate the Oz Bargain support, this deal was more popular than we had planned for.
We were due to post another great oz bargain exclusive but are holding off until we have this one under control.
          Thanks Again.

  • Ordered Chestnut and the pair received much darker than the picture…

    • Are you able to post a pic? Thank you.

    • Hi there, the colour will become much lighter after a week or two of wear.

  • nothing been received from Melbourne to Melbourne since 25th March

    • can you please DM your order number and I will chase it up, Australia post is having some issues as they are experiencing Christmas like volume.

  • Mine still have not shipped either… not impressed at all. Over a week to ship is really unacceptable.

    • Again apologies, we have sent over 2000 orders and there are just under 600 to send today.

      • Question: You said earlier you are sending 600 orders a day. It's been 5 business days and you've only sent 2000 orders. Why is that?

        • Hi there, we have sent over 2000, we have had 4 business days to work on these orders. We didn't expect this reaction and even Australia post is struggling with the volume at the moment.
We will have the orders out this week. The good news is the cold weather hasn't fully kicked in and you will get plenty of use out of them over winter. Hang in there with us please.

      • I guess my order wasn’t one of the 600. So much for getting the order by the end of the week.

  • +2

    Rubbish… Never sent the order

    • -8

we understand you want your slippers "Crossdude" we are sending as many parcels that Australia Post can take.

      • Update your customers then proactively

  • I'm a US12 so UK/AU 11, I bought a size "11" after reading others say to size down a pair. Should I have ordered a 12 instead (my US size)?

If it hasn't shipped yet is there a chance I can change it? I'll DM you.

    • I went to a 10 from normal US11 but haven't received yet so can't comment.

  • +1

Got mine today. They're nice (much better than my old ratty Grosbys)…

    • At least we know they are sending them out. How long did yours take after you ordered them? I’m still waiting.

  • +1

Still hasn't even been sent out. Order is still just in the confirmed status. Generic response from [email protected]
Basically you will get it when you get it

    • My order status is the same as yours.

  • +1

When I emailed them, I was told that the item is being shipped out to me yesterday.

Since I didn’t get any communication, this morning I enquired again and I got a response:
“It appears a pair is in production and should be sent early next week.

    Kind Regards,
    Customer Service”

    Body of lies??? Quite disappointed.

    • I don't think they actually had enough stock to fulfill the orders. I have a feeling they were producing as they were sending. Not necessarily a bad thing but they should of at least kept people in the loop.

      • +5

At that price I don’t mind waiting 2 weeks for them to make them and send them but as you said they should at least tell people that they’re out of stock and are being made.

    • +1

Yes I got exactly the same response. No update as yet, 2 weeks later. Poor business practises.

  • +4

Almost 10d and no shipping information or simple apology. Definitely not buying again from this store.

    • +1

No shipping info for me either. I've also tried to contact them twice with no response. Also concerned by the empty promises from the OP: "We will have the orders out this week".

      • +1

I was told on Thursday they were shipping Friday…..no update to status and no shipping confirmation…

Not a great advertisement for Australian Made..

  • +1

No shipping details for me either :( was hoping for at least an email to update us on when they would be shipped… at least explain the delays, but not getting an email for 10 days is really unacceptable..

  • Purchased two pairs on 26/3. 10 days later and still no update. I hope this isn't a scam but the lack of communication is disappointing. Poor customer service.

    • +2

I ordered on the 26th as well with delivery to Melbourne. Got mine on the 2nd of April so definitely not a scam.

Very happy with the quality and comfort. Definitely worth the wait for yours.

  • Thank you to everyone for their patience, we were able to ship a large quantity of the items on Friday and We had the team work all weekend and early this morning completing the orders.

    • how many orders do you have left to post?

    • When you ship the order, can you NOT require signature? I refuse have face to face contact with the delivery driver and I refuse collect from post office. I am awaiting delivery atm, but if the package is not left at my front door I will only have to get it return to sender.

      • not sure about your local postie, but all my packages so far which require signature, even my passport has just been left in mailbox or at the front door. They don't even ring the bell.

        • so will they all be posted by today? I understand high volume..
Cold now in Melb ordered 25th..
If it going to be another 2-3 weeks before they get here just let me know I get some cheap ones from K-mart to see me until then.
I understand your flat out although last week was end of the week. now still going.
          Just a ETA is fine.

      • As long as you are home or can verify you are home, the postie will leave it by the door. If they can't confirm you are home then they will take it to your local post office. It's their new "contactless" delivery policy, I've had a few recently and our usual postie just drops it by the door before we even open it.

        • Nop. They don't. The latest tracking history says: "Attempted delivery - Unable to gain access Date & time Thu 9 Apr • 8:26am"

I didn't hear a door knock. I even printed a notice on the door saying someone is home, please leave the delivery at front door. Nop they didn't leave the parcel. What a stupid idea to force a signature on delivery.

          • @jerrysfang: It's part of Australia Posts new policy for 'signature on delivery' deliveries so it will be the postie not following the policy. I've had a few deliveries lately with signature on delivery and they have dropped it off at my door.

          • @jerrysfang: @UggAustraliaOfficial Seriously, why would you force signature?

          • @jerrysfang: Lucky you, mine haven't even been shipped yet. Ordered on the 25th.

    • +3

I'm afraid your statement that the team completed the orders is not entirely true: my order is still listed as "confirmed" and not shipped.

      • +1

Same here. No communication at all…

  • Received today. The soles are very hard not comfortable to walk in and they don’t look the same as on picture. Other than that they seem ok.

  • Agree with the above comment. I am disappointed. Uncomfortable and the colour does not come close to matching what is on the website.

  • +2

For what is worth, here is my experience:

    • placed the order on March 25;
    • waited for shipment until March 30, with no update;
    • emailed the customer Service and received the generic email reply;
    • after posting here, got a private message from OP asking for order number - provided on April 2;
    • as of today April 6, no reply from OP and no shipment.

Really disappointing experience. Tonight I emailed customer service asking for the order to be canceled and a full refund.

I would have liked to support an Australian company, but after this experience, I'm giving up on this one.

    • -2

Hi Jack, we received your order at 10pm on the 25th. You have waited 7 business days including shipping. Try to be a little patient apart from receiving a huge amount of orders Australia Post is causing some of the delay.

      • +5

        Mate,

I don't have a problem with the 7 days "including shipping". I do have a problem with waiting 7 days and only getting a generic email response, no reply to my private message and seeing a statement that all orders have shipped when my order hasn't.

    • Aww c'mon man, I'm also waiting on a pair but give them a break, they had thousands of orders when they probably only expected to sell a couple of dozen. At least they've been active coming back and updating here that they're working on it, rather than just silence altogether.

      • Totally agree. I ordered 4 pairs on 26/3 and got shipping info approved yesterday, so hopefully will be picked up by Aus Post today. My only criticism is they could’ve communicated more by email to let you know that it might take x days to fulfill your order. But I do appreciate being updated on Ozbargain. At least we know they’re flat out trying to get the orders done.

  • +1

Same as above. Just cancel the order and ask for a refund.

    • Hi team, it's been 7 working days including shipping. we are working with Australia post who is experiencing Christmas like volume also. you will receive your orders this week.

      • How can we receive orders if they haven't even been shipped?

Not being able to ship and refusing refunds is very bad business practice.

The few dollars you gain from people who can't be bothered to enforce their consumer rights will be more than lost by people remembering how disrespectfully you treated them.

I too want to support Australian businesses in these tough times. But there are plenty of others around that operate with integrity, they get my dollars.

  • +1

Mine Apparently got shipped on the 30th of March but still haven’t received it! Australia post 😠

    • yes Australia post is struggling with the volume and social distancing rules. Apparently when unloading vans and sorting only one person can do it. It should be with you soon.

    • What’s the location according to the tracking info?

      • Still saying Melbourne facility. Hasn’t changed for two weeks. I’ve sent UggAustraliaOfficial a PM but still waiting for their response 😔

        • I had a parcel (size of an envelope) that was sent from WA and sat at the Aus Post Sydney facility for a week. I lodged an enquiry with Aus Post on line to ask what was happening with it and 2-3 days later it went to my local facility and I received the next day. So maybe try sending an enquiry to Aus Post with your details and tracking number.

  • +2

Bought a pair; they came a few days ago, and now I regret not buying multiple.

    • Thanks for the positive feedback :).

  • @UggAustraliaOfficial: Bought 3 pairs on the 25th but my order is still in the "confirmed" status, meaning that it hasn't even been shipped yet. If correct, blaming the delay on Australia Post is not cool, as is not admitting to a supply problem or managing your customers expectations.
