Seiko SRPD21K STO 2019 Turtle $399, SRPD23K STO 2019 Samuai $399, SSC741P STO 2019 Chrono $369 incl. post - StarBuy

240

Since we can't be in the ocean, the next best thing is throw on some boardies and get one of these on your wrist.

These prices go live from 11.00 on Friday 27 until Monday 30 - plenty of stock of the STO models with a new historical low on all three models.

Similar specs between the Turtle & Samurai, a large and chunky dial with the case shape being the main point of difference. These being the 2019 models mean you do end up with a Hardlex crystal versus the sapphire offered on the new 2020 series, but at a substantially lower price. You might even be so inclined to upgrade with a sapphire mod with the money you'll save…

See some great photos of the all three models here

    These being the 2019 models

More like 1999. Will go well with your vinyl record player and 35mm film camera :-)

    • hmm just the orient mako in blue from amazon ……
would love another samurai ( orange) but i know orange got down to $329, and iā€™m sure my other STO was less than $399 …..
and the aussie peso has dropped also.

are we going to see fire sales as businesses trying to move stock for cash flow but people are unemployed ?

  • Don't need it. But want it.

    • I'm thinking if it was any turtle but the Save the Ocean I'd probably buy. But yeah nah it's a want not a need so I probably wouldn't haha.

I think this is the only turtle I don't like.

      • I want the samurai. Need an excuse for not buying it.

  • Awesome watch, shame the movement isn't made in japan.

    • watch would be assembled outside of japan, but movement might be from Japan, Seiko use different codes for their made outside of japan movements ?

      • Nope, check again. The dial would say movement made in japan.

        • Not necessarily. Pretty sure the 4R36 movement is made in Japan, which this might have, but there are no markings on the watch.

@denwol: Nope. If movements are made in japan it will say on the dial. If the watch is made in japan it will also say on the dial. You really think Seiko would pass an opportunity to let people know their watches are Japanese made?

Btw I have a 4R36 movement watch and unfortunately it's made in Malaysia and cased in China :/

@nomoneynoproblems: I've got 2 4R35B, international market and it's marked made in Japan on both the face and movement. I believe the Japanese one is the last letter would be J.

    • From all the reviews I've seen, it doesn't seem to matter. I've even seen some reviews that claim the made in Malaysia are actually better quality!

      • I think the qc is better out of Japan. Either way you pay a premium for Japanese made watches. Some people don't mind but if I'm spending upwards of $500, I'll pay that extra for Japanese made.

My SKX is made in Japan, I did a lot of research before buying it and did not find one review that said the Japanese was better quality, and found one that said Malaysian is actually better. That said, I still bought the Japanese šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

  • Nice Watch,but again with the 44mm.or 45mm.case diameter…..like wearing Big Ben.

      From the website linked
"The Samurai (SRPD23K1) is 43.8mm by 12.8mm, and the Solar Chrono (SSC741P1) is 43.5mm by 13.8mm. As always with Seiko divers, rather large watches on paper, however, due to short lugs and comprehensive designs, all of them are more pleasant on the wrist than one would expect."

  • There is a good deal on seiko turtle for 339 at starbuy right now.
