    I ordered last night.

  • Ordered on 31st still waiting for email or sms. Only have confirmation email.

  • I ordered on the 31st 8pm and got a order confirmation email. Tried calling them but no pick up, still waiting for them to message me about pick up time :(

    • Most probably they're flooded with orders.

Received a sms, they apologise for the inconvenience due to over whelming orders. Gave me a date and time to pick up my goods.

Picked mine up earlier today. It's no A5 but still pretty good marbling imho. Definitely good for gyudon, sukiyaki, and shabu shabu. Maybe a little too thin for grilling. Happy with this purchase. 📷 https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/112760/78410/img_2234.…

    • Thank you for your photo!

  • Has anyone who selected home delivery received as yet?

    • It did say Pickup only?

      Interested to see what happens..

  • Well facepalm to me for missing that but they’ve charged me for delivery - have tried emailing this time to contact phone was unsuccessful

Interesting that the order went through!

Keep us updated whether it's a refund or delivery!

      • Got an email saying delayed due to volume but will be delivered Monday. Understandable. Glad it’s still coming. Given variability of photos people are posting fingers crossed it’s a good batch.

        • Got a text saying delivery Sunday with a time window. Delivery came an hour later than that, poor guy said they were understaffed. Some packs had better marbling than others but overall a happy customer.

    • Oh… they're actually sliced!

If you're not happy with it, I'd be happy to take it off your hands, depending on where you're located (Sydney?) :)

    • Called their number and the staff who picked up the call was rude and refused to help. Texted him the picture above and he refused to apologise or admit that it's an inferior product. lol.

Not as much marbling as seen in the picture, but nonetheless it was still great and for $25/kilo, you can't go wrong.

A quick sear on both sides, paired with some sauce made it a great meal

Would you recommend tomato or bbq sauce?

This is the cheapest I have ever paid for wagyu, I pay usually $60-100 a kg, the flavour in the original stock was very good, it's not "melt in mouth" like expensive Kobe and it doesnt pretend to be. For the price you literally cannot go wrong regardless of whatever marbling you may or may not have. I am picking up more tomorrow, my kids are going nuts for this, we have gone through 1.5kg already, 3 packs all sliced a little differently, and differed in cut as well BUT it was all good. I sear mine (despite the thin slices) on a korean bbq grill with a very quick hand and chopsticks (gas stove). All I needed was a bit of salt and basically cooked this the same way I would with the expensive stuff and the only diff is that the texture is not as smooth and delicate. Seriously cannot go wrong for $25/kg. I have once upon a time purchased a cheap "wagyu" from Vic's meat (before they opened at the fish markets) which tasted so bad I fed it to my dogs, my fear was that this was gonna be similar to that but I took a chance anyway, cos we live so close so glad I did!! I will try it in hotpot as soon as hotpot season starts, but my personal opinion is that wagyu always taste better seared, even if just you blowtorch it for nigiri.

Says it's in stock, but when you try to get to checkout it says "Sorry, we do not have enough "Restaurant Grade Wagyu Slice - SPECIAL OFFER" in stock to fulfil your order (-249 available). We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

      • Also it says minimum of $50 is required before checking out…!?!

Definitely not melt in your mouth marbling, it's more like the premium wagyu you'd find in rare wagyu beef pho

Great if you try to use it in soup noodles (where it doesn't get overcooked)

Tried searing it with a blow torch - it.. has the texture of almost ox-tongue?
A few issues with trying to sear it
    1) It's quite damp after defrosting
    2) Not enough fat content in it to sear well

Won't be as nice as the ones as they use for wagyu beef on top of rice (that requires a LOT of fat to sear)
    It's good value at $25/kg!
But don't have kobe-beef level expectations (that stuff is $200+/kg)

    Great for hotpot/shabu shabu!

  • Just had some of this and the Karubi slice over Easter, it was soo good! When do you think will this deal end? Surely it can't go on forever. Having said that I could probably do this once a month haha

Great customer service! Delivered as promised today. I bought 9 packs to get free delivery and used the 10% off coupon. They throw in a 10th pack marinated in sauce.

$101.25 for 5kg of wagyu delivered

    Will definitely buy again :)

    • Wow, your's is definitely better looking than the ones I got!

I didn't get any free ones (I bought 5kg as well) and picked up

Was the marinated one sliced as well?

      • Looks like a bit of a lottery hey. Yes the free one is also sliced. I think for this thickness, marbling is not really a big deal? The fat will quickly melt in seconds

I wonder why they're not selling these in blocks. Surely it cost more to get them sliced

    • Was the 10% off coupon a unique code? Would love to add it to the post so everyone else can use it!

      • I can't remember what it is :/ but it's not unique. You just need to enter your email address to the pop up banner when you first land on the page

        • Oh just saw it now whilst browsing, thanks!

      • I just used 10%INTRO, is that what others had?

  • Ordered more, sample photo here, much better than the previous batch!

Massive variability between marbling from Holy Kobe amazing, to Is-This-Really-Wagyu?

Overall, very good value given the $25/kg price, and already sliced

At my local Chinese supermarket, it's $11.50 for 350g of sliced Wagyu roll, $8.80 for 250g wagyu beef
