What's the benefit of uses of a Dutch oven over a show cooker or normal pot? Serious question.
I'd say it's not a big different, dutch oven would be a bit more versatile considering it's basically a pot so it can be on stove top, in the oven, bbq, solar cooker you name it. Whereas slow cookers run on electricity.
Really it depends on what do you want to cook, if all you do is making stew or curry probably not much different, you may have to wait a little longer with slow cooker as it doesn't get as hot compare to dutch oven but in certain cases that'd be more desirable anyway

tl;dw - brown your meat first; Dutch oven developed the best flavour; slow cooker was the worst, but he didn't brown the meat, so maybe not a fair comparison.
