Sony SP500 Wireless in-Ear Sports Headphones $51.98 @ JB Hi-Fi

200

I think the price just dropped yesterday, following the price slash from the official Sony store website after the new WISP510 is released.

All 3 colours (black, pink and white) are on sale, might be able to price match at Officeworks as well?

It has mixed review, but I think it's still pretty good for its price.

  • Heyyy nice.

I was looking for 2 pair of open design, so I can audio-share with a mate while walking around and still be able to chat.

    Hi guys,

For what it's worth i have a set of these, and this is my feedback, as always YMMV

    • Form factor:
Always been a fan of this type of wireless, due to the fact that when you want to take em off, you can just do that, without having to put it somewhere (ie. when you gotta speak to someone)

A big negative for these is the cable length, it is too damn short for me, when i run it behind my neck, they just become plain annoying. Additionally when you put them just hanging on you, they are too short and they hang at an awkward angle

    • Sound quality:
What you expect, nothing to blow you away, the open nature of these means that you would want to set your volume a bit higher than usual. Mic on them is a bit hit and miss but really, use only in quiet spaces

    • Overall:
I prefer my Taotronics (Similar to these https://www.taotronics.com/products/tt-bh042-neckband-blueto…) while they are in ear, i think they are a better buy for those who like in ear's + some ANC included for the price.

Anywho, Hope that helps peeps :)

  • For $52 you can't complain too much. Bought a set to replace my cheap WI-C310 which malfunctioned after 2 months of use. Was somewhat my fault using it as a sports pair and sweated all over it lol.

Only disapointment was the micro usb connector. Even my old pair had usb C.
