$4.50 with Subscribe and Save. I get these at this price all the time.

    • you get these from amazon all the time you mean?

      • Yes, sorry. Good deal, I snap them up from Amazon when they have them at this price, using S+S of course.

Cream soda is my favour. You can always buy these for the same price from WW and Coles.

How can Amazon sell such a heavy item with free shipping for $5….

I've sure got my moneys worth with Prime the last few months.

They can't - they probably get preferential rates on shipping with AusPost, but they would be sending this stuff at a loss. But get's customers in the door, so to speak.

Amazon are happy to lose money in Australia to gain market traction here. Prime membership is dramatically cheaper here than everywhere else in the world (costs $59 AUD a year here, $200 AUD in the US). Once they decide they've got a large enough customer base; they'll end the cheap pricing and then become profitable. Australians are winning for now thanks to Amazon being the wealthiest company in the world and can absorb losses.

      • Jeez $200? That would definitely make me reconsider my prime membership. Saying that I believe they get more for the prime membership up there than they do down here dont they?

        • Not entirely sure, but they get same day delivery on in stock items, and we get two day delivery (outside of global pandemics of course).

          • @BradH13: I know initially they definitely had extra services not just on the shopping part but like the other amazon services. Maybe kindle / audible extras, i cant remember. But we may have caught up with the services now. Not sure if their video streaming / shows list is better than ours but it probably is.

  • I guess lemon squash it is.
Would've preferred Pasito but that's more expensive.
    Thanks OP.

    • just get it from coles for the same price (5)

Any shame they don't stock the ginger beer :(

    • Yes exactly, they seem to have everything but the ginger beer, my favourite.

      • Ginger beer avail. in their Multipack, see listing for link.

        • yeah i did order the multipack last time it came up a couple of days ago or was it yesterday. But you need to order 30 to get like 6 of what you want. So not really worthwhile if you really only want ginger beer. My family doesnt really drink much soft drink except for ginger beer.

          • @lonewolf: I get it, funny that others commented that they didn't like multipack because of the ginger beer. Each to their own I guess.

  • What ever happened to Fruita? Do they not make that any more? :(

You could just get 3x 1.25 litre bottles and its the same amount of softdrink. The 1.25l bottles seem to be on special for like ~$1.00-1.50 almost every time at coles or woolies.

Yeah but you lose the fizz. Cans just do the job better.

      • -1

        Where is the fizz going?

        • Whenever I put back bottles even with the lid tight they still lose the fizz for next time. I think it's why people like cans more.
