    • : sold for a particular good or service at a genuine discount (e.g. $50 card for salon service valued at $100)

Has to be this clause .

      • This isn't a particular good or service though, its a generic giftcard

I found the expiry date is 3 years from today when I used their own gift card balance check.

    • +1

Believe we are protected by Australian Law and have seen this before on Ebay AU for their Paypal gift cards.

Your Gift Card will be valid for use for three (3) years from the date of issue. You will forfeit any balance not used prior to the expiry date. Some Gift Cards may state a one (1) year expiry term; however, from 31 March 2018, all Gift Cards will expire three (3) years from the date of issue, notwithstanding the expiry term stated on the Gift Card.

Confirming that Catch cards purchased after March 2018 have 36 months expiry.

  • Can you use multiple gift cards on a single purchase?

    • +1

      Yes. Up to 5

  • Anyone ever bought a phone off Catch? Some good deals with these vouchers at 20% off. I'm looking at the new Samsung A51's but a little concerned about it being international stock, different adapters, warranty etc.

    • Depends on who the seller is. If it is Catch selling it, likely Australian model. If it is a third party, then it can be either. Better inspect the product description.

  • Hmm, will Catch be able to survive the economic impact of the current crisis..

    • I'd say so, as a big online retailer, especially of groceries.

    • +1

      It’s now owned by Wesfarmers.

      • Ooo didn't realise, thanks!

  • Does anyone know how long it generally takes to receive the codes?

    • Ah just saw it will take longer if this is the first purchase of gift cards through PayPal.

  • Can they be used for catch connect mobile plan?

  • What is the expiry on the best restaurants please?

  • I got codes within minutes. Thanks

Catch gift cards are sold out

    • +1

Any notice showing sold out? The website on my browser is just blank

      • It actually says sold out

We're sorry, this promotion is sold out
        20% off Catch Gift Cards

      • Yeh had to try on edge and it show that it is sold out

    • Must have made my purchase just as they were going out of stock because I was charged the full amount.

Now to contact the PayPal Gift Card team and see what they can do :(

      • Yeh I was in the middle of finalising payment when I noticed it still said full amount, pressed back to make sure of details and then got blank screen from there on :(

        Just missed out I guess

        • I took it for granted the price would be the same as what was displayed in the shopping cart. That’s on me.

Got the gift card email already so will just have to see what happens now

          • @sandshrew: You probably will get the 20% off difference refund.

            • @Neoika: Hoping that is the outcome but you just never know.

          • @sandshrew: I think they will honour the discount

I should have just went through with purchase, had something that I wanted to get right now :(

    • I doubt many bought $20 ones. It should go like $100 gone first, $50 gone second, only $20 left.

      • Doing that now. Hope yours gets sorted as well

        • +1

PayPal says dispute will take 10 days and I should refrain from using the cards till thats settled. Waiting it is

          • @turnip: Thanks for the update. I have a 10 day waiting period as well so suppose will just have to see what they say when they get around to it.

Fingers crossed we get the outcome we are chasing at the end of this.

            • +1

as usual ozbargain ruins it, wish it was login people only. 200+ but 6500 clicks.

    • as usual ozbargain ruins it

Depends which side you are - Consumer or a Business!

From consumer perspective, yep - may be most will miss out on this due to exposure on OzB but for a business, its like a dream coming true where they have made hundreds of thousands in a span of few hours.
