  I only recently bought travel insurance through these guys and used 'TIDSTAFF' for a 15% discount. Can't comment on how good the insurance is, but the website was easy to use!

  I lost a new iPod on holidays last year. Had no hassles at all getting my claim paid out (minus the $100 excess). I can recommend TID (used a 10% off code back then too).

    Thanks for the detail. Used them frequently in the past but never claimed and was always a bit worried how good their claim process was.

    In regards to Visa's cover, on my card it will only cover basic stuff for myself, so if you go with another person they'll still need separate cover.

  Be sure to look at what your credit card includes because many include equivelent travel cover when you spend a certain amount (i.e. $500 or there abouts) on your card while on holiday (including any airfares).

  We've wasted tonnes on seperate travel cover only to realise our VISA gives the same or better protection.

  I just compared this to covermore. Covermore quote was $15 extra, but nill excess..
