also when do they charge you? only when it ships?

    • +2

also when do they charge you? only when it ships?

Yes. Once it ships you are also safe to cancel your subscription.

    • +1

You'll get a notification email couple days before the 2nd shipping date, you won't be charged until it's been shipped out.

      • ah cool thanks, its a pretty handy service actually

      • but will this subs thing is guaranteed ie you will get it next month for example if you set once a month subscription?

  • This one lasted quite a while. I got an email from Amazon and could still buy almost 12 mins later.

We only used 6 rolls so far from the 45-roll pack bought mid march but needed to grab this for my in-laws in the country.

  • +1

Thanks OP. After not being able to get any toilet paper since the whole panic buying started, I have finally just bought some toilet paper!!! :)

  • +7

You can all thank me for the restock - after spending nearly 3 straight days sitting by the computer refreshing tabs to try to buy TP, the sunny weather here got the best of me and I went for a 30 minute jog.

Of course, that's when Amazon restocked…

    • oh dude are you serious, it was up for quite awhile as well :(

      • +1

I did actually get a pack, thankfully! But only just - it was OOS 30 seconds later!

        • +2

Ahaha aww well I'm glad you managed to get a pack!

          • @pennypincher98: Thank you. How are you going for general supplies at the moment, pp?

            • @dm01: Managed to get both soap (yesterday afternoon) and toilet paper (just then), so while they're not gonna be here for at least another week - got enough for now. Peeled tomatoes/canned stuff is actually what we're running out of at the moment, but still plenty of pasta and noodles fortunately. Thank you for asking, and I hope you're also doing alright for general supplies

        • +1

oh well there you go, you got a jog and your amazon special that is a win for today

    • Go for more jogs! 😁
(I missed it by 90 seconds)

    • +1

      legend

    • +1

wow even both of those went as well

it seems like amazon releases a certain amount of each thing per day or couple of days

  • anyone else getting over 2 weeks till delivery
24th is what mine said so i just canceled i can not clench my butt that long.

    • +4

I think that's just Amazon giving themselves enough time to fulfill orders due to changes they had to make at the warehouse because of COVID-19.

I recently order something from Amazon, it gave a delivery date approx. 2 weeks from the order date. The order came within 3 business days.

  • +1

Go to woolworth docklands its just full of toilet paper
Any brand you name it they have it and almost 3-4 shelves there so no need to buy online

  • Ordered mine on Thursday and it arrived today

  • Back in stock.

  • back in stock

  • Back in stock guys

  • Back in stock.

  • +3

How on Earth did I manage to get one

  • out again?

  • Finally. I’m glad I waited and didn’t queue up at stores.

  • It's back up?

  • +3

    Still available.))
My local Coles and Woolies are absolutely pathetic in terms of TP availability. So I am glad I finally got myself some.

  • You little rippa - finally got dub rub. woop woop.

  • finally got one

    • lol, shelves at my local supermarket are full, not hard to get anymore.

      • +1

yeah for 8 packs… means you have to go once a week for TP! if you're not really going to the super that often… it's annoying to go for TP (and its $10 for an 8 pack)!

Much rather pay $16 for a 36 pack and have it dropped at your front door!

        • Coles near me had 20 pack for $10. Quilton brand.

        • Going through a roll of TP a day is pretty excessive unless you have a lot of people in the house.
I must be really conservative - an 8-pack would last me about 3 months.

          • +1

@Jonzay: 3 months when working from the office
< 3 months when working from home

  • I got one too, this is like the first time I managed to get TP.

  • My dirty bottom thanks you O.P.!

  • The bottom is going to fall out of toilet paper soon - oversupply.

  • Finally got one

  • Got one. Finally

  • I feel so lucky to have got some

  • +1

    finally :)
after having to pay 6 bucks for a 6 pack of quilton at my local coles (its all they have, and its all i've seen there in a month, but paying that much still hurt my ozbargainer heart), this is like dollar-cost averaging toilet paper

  • Got a sub for the 45 pack but they are out of stock so my next order on the 1st of may is being replaced by this pack instead

    • Do they adjust the price you pay for the next delivery too?

  • +1

I didn't see a subscribe and save option when i bought it.

  • There are plenty in supermarkets now !

    • Full shelf at mine

    • None at mine. NSW.

    • +1

Checked coles, woolies and aldi in north sydney daily for the past 3 weeks and always non left. I had to borrow from my in-laws.

      • +3

How exactly do you return it after borrowing?

        • Lol. Giving them fresh ones from this deal if needed.

  • -2

I bought one a few days back.. doesn't allow me to buy one now - says limit of 1 per customer. 1 in how many days? Does anyone know?

    • +2

One pack of this should last uou at least 2 weeks. Maybe wait 2 weeks to buy another?

      • -1

Thanks. It's been about 8-10 days since I bought one.

    • I'm glad it's stopping you from buying one, unless you're visiting the toilet 25 times a day, why need a refresh?

    • Why do you need to buy again? Maybe give chance to other ppl who need them.

      • I had to share some with friends and I am left with 10 rolls now. Good for 10-12 days I reckon.

    • +1

Yes I am having the same problem, aah that's why.

  • +1

Got one thanks op. I wonder if the shortage is started to go away?

    • i think Quilton basically saved everyone

its the only brand iv seen in huge numbers, kleenex has done nothing really for the public been very scarce to see that brand around

      • +5

Kleenex are crap anyway, it tears apart easily after wiping.

        • i agree the original cottonelle use to be good but they changed it quite a few years a go and now it flakes off and its thin

  • +2

Got one, can't be stuffed with checking Supermarkets for empty shelves. Neither Woolies or Coles will deliver anyway

  • +3

holy SHIT, i got one! no more garden hose!

  • Thanks got one

  • Looks like Quilton has kind of caught up with the demand.

    • +3

I think its got to do with the fact that people who have purchased this within last week or two cannot do so anymore, a good thing.

  • +1

Thank you, we haven't seen anything larger then a 4 pack in weeks.

  • Great deal thanks!

  • I paid $22 (no prime) so hoping that I don't see it available in my local supermarket for $14 in the next few weeks…. Otherwise it's $8 down the toilet so to speak…

Considering it's been hours and hasn't sold out yet maybe the shortage is over.

    • +1

the way amazon works is slightly different to a supermarket

they basically sell slots of product on certain dates, so a b c d and 14th 15th 16th 17th etc it also varies with price which slot you end up in, and all sorts of stuff its pretty complex its why i never wanted to do supply chain

    • +2

Should have just got prime for the month

  • +2

    Got one thanks
None in shops here in Sydney.

  • +6

If it's true that Amazon is restricting this to people who have not purchased within the last week or so, then I commend them.

YOU DO NOT NEED A NEW PACKET if you got one last week.

    • i don't think it lets you, i tried just now when i saw your comment and it just redirects me to an empty cart

      • +3

People unfortunately cannot be trusted to be sensible, so it falls to Amazon and higher ups to ration these out.

This pandemic has taught me a lesson, the developed world falls to the very level it mocks the third world when shit hits the fan.

I have mates that have disgusted me, one of my buddies had 6 packets in his storage, actually told him he needs to sort out his priorities, the dude was sending his pensioner parents every morning to get toilet papers, that is why you see none in stock when you go into stores, the oldies pretty much finish them all.

        • +5

we have kept our oldies at home to protect them and we just send them the 8 packs we can find so they don't have to go out

we do their shopping and pick up their mail and stuff

i'd rather have them alive than risk them catching Covid-19

so i agree some people need their priorities checked

        • +5

This pandemic has taught me a lesson, the developed world falls to the very level it mocks the third world when shit hits the fan.

It's taught me that, based on a bell curve of intelligence within the community, the median is much lower than i though :)
And "Idiocracy" should be classed as an educational documentary

          • @SBOB: '+ vote for Idiocracy :)

        • +4

Your mate is a hoarder and also abuse the elderly shopping special times.

If I were you I would also be disgusted by his actions. I would cut all ties with him if he does not stop

People like him are destroying the needy, vulnerable people and other families with kids who do need those items

  • Wow! Nice lesson. Never knew that I had to go to Amazon to get flushable ones. Also new to me that Scotty has done a deal with Jeff. Where did he get all that money from? Got to wash my undies now..

  • OOS :(

  • OOS

  • +1

    Amazon rescuing people without TP.

    They doing a good job

  • +2

Wow, delivered less than 24 hrs after order placed.

    Well done Amazon.

    • +1

Damn! To live in Melbourne eh

    • Really. Which area do you live in? I used to get 2 day shipping but lately delivery time from amazon has been horrendous. Nearly 2 weeks to deliver anything. I’m in Melbourne too, northern suburbs.

      • +1

        South eastern suburb.

It probably depends on the service they use. My order was delivered by their own courier which was probably why it was so quick.

Some previous orders that came via AusPost did take a lot longer than usual.

    • Do they come in an Amazon box or just in the outer plastic packing with a shipping label slapped on?

      • +1

Amazon box. So I'm guessing they use their own courier and not AusPost which was why it arrived so quickly.

My last order that was delivered by Amazon themselves arrived on a Saturday as well.

        • -1

Sweet. Less likely that it will be swiped by postal workers (mine is coming via AusPost).

          • -1

@Drewbo: so you're suggesting that Aust Post worker are thieving packages.
any first hand experience with that ??

            • -2
              • @Drewbo: So that is ONE Aust Post employee, out of more than ten thousand.
You are happy to cast aspersions on the the VAST majority of AP workers on the basis of ONE reported incidence??
Thanks for your considered opinion of one of the most trusted organisations in Australia.

I am now engaging the 'hide' option on your comments as I don't need to put up with your ignorant, ill-considered opinions.

edit - you did not provide any "first hand experience' as requested, so in my opinion it's hearsay (aka BS)
