With most people practicing social distancing and self-isolation at the moment due to the world’s current state, Nike has announced that the Nike Training Club (NTC) app premium version is now free.
They normally charge $23.49 / month or $184.99 annually for access to the premium workouts.

App store is still showing in-app purchases but once you download and activate you'll see that you have access to all of the workouts without having to pay anything.

    Am I in the wrong area - it says get fit with 185+ Free workouts but I can’t find any premium version? I’m on iOS

    I can't any info in the app about upgrading to premium. Is it premium by default now?

  • +2

    Weird. I’ve used this app for free for years.

    • same here, free for years

      Maybe you’re confusing with NRC?

      This is NTC

      • Not sure why I was downvoted, NTC and NRC are two different apps.

        NRC = Nike Run Club
        NTC = Nike Training Club

    • I worked out that if you go to Profile > Settings > Country/Region > United States and then restart the app, all of the premium workouts and programmes suddenly appear for free.

    I love this app! Have used it since September last year. I prefer it to Centr and the Down Dog HIIT app. Note that I don't think NTC premium is available here. See https://www.nike.com/help/a/ntc-premium where it states that "When will NTC Premium be available in other countries? Currently, NTC Premium is only available in the US. We are looking to expand into more countries."

  • Many reviews report that you can't cast the videos to your TV. Shame… might have been good otherwise.

      Try this Maybe it didn't work before but it seems to now

  • This is an OK app. What i dont like about it is how it's totally closed off and you can't sync with with other apps you may use like Strava/runkeeper etc. So all you runs remain only on this app and vice versa, all you other apps will not be able to be imported.

    Seems to be only free for 3 months from 23rd March….

    “I am currently subscribed to NTC Premium on my Apple device, can I get a refund?
    Monthly Subscribers: Your subscription will automatically be paused for the next 90 days beginning March 23, 2020. That means for the next 90 days you will not be charged. If you do not want to continue your subscription, be sure to cancel prior to the end of your 90-day extension or monthly charges will resume. After you cancel, you can continue to enjoy NTC Premium for free until further notice.”

  • Thanks op!

        I think it should go on title!

  • Is there a way to cast video to TV using iPhone and chromecast?

    • I have the same issue. And this was the reason I moved to Adidas training app instead, which is Chromecast-able.

      Happy to learn if there was a function on Nike's that I missed!

    • +1

      Yes. Go to your Google Home app, select your Chromecast, then Cast my screen.

      Open NTC and set your phone to landscape mode.

      Worked here.

      Cheers

    • I did it on my iPhone. I selected screen mirroring from the control centre and rotated phone to landscape then cast the screen to my Samsung Q80R. I think you'll need apple tv support on your TV though.

      • or an ATV app enabled TV.

  • Just downloaded to try it out but would not recommend for yoga. Plenty of great yoga videos on YouTube instead.

    Will this automatically charge at the end of the free period?

  • For those having issues with casting the videos to a TV, I thought I might share what I do in case it helps anyone. I use an iPhone and connect it to a lightning to HDMI cable digital AV adapter - just a cheapie from eBay, like this (not the exact seller I bought from a couple of years ago) https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LIGHTNING-Digital-AV-Adapter-Lig…
