  • FYI Harvey Norman had this in stock today and price matched it to $389 (not the $369 as its "cashback"), but considering I dont have to wait 6 weeks for it, I was happy to pay.

If this is anything like the EM4300 in terms of quality only lasted a year.

Milk and coffee is excellent and works well.

As soon as the twist function for steam/coffee 1 and 2 cups starts playing up, you know the machine and seals are on the way out.

    • "As soon as the twist function for steam/coffee 1 and 2 cups starts playing up, you know the machine and seals are on the way out."

I have no firsthand experience of this specific machine re: parts availability.

Generally, all seals wear out. It's not necessarily a sign the machine is stuffed…just needs maintenance.

Seals wearing out should not condemn the machine.

I think someone commented earlier about seal replacements?

This outscored the Expobar Office SA (RRP $1750) in the Choice test… seems like a great deal to me.

Very tempting, especially with the bonus essential kit: knock box, better tamper, tamper mat, and thermometer, all useful stuff.

But I'm more or less set on the Breville, if I buy this will probably still thinking about the Breville. So will pass on this.

    • Exactly my problem

  • Does anyone know how easy this machine is to clean, relative to comparable models?

  • I have owned this since December - 0 issues so far and does the job. An all-in-one package that sates your coffee fix :-) Would recommend

FYI - Harvey Norman had no stock near me.

I just had this price matched at Good Guys instead.

Don't buy from Amazon as I don't think that qualifies for the bonus promotion, it's not listed as a retailer on the Sunbeam website.

    • Where can you find the list of participating stores? I just claimed mine bought from amazon, not sure if I will receive it.

  • Damn it! Just bought this exact model from JB's literally 3 weeks ago foe $500. Winder if I bought this and took back to JB, and pocket the $120 difference? Is that do-able and slightly non dodgy??

    • Totally dodgy. But I'd do it.

This is not a deal anymore since the price doesn't come down to $369 now.

keep eye on mother's day sale, should start in a week or two

      • What's a mother's sale?

    • $389 is still a deal. Can you find a better price?

      • -3

Sure, but my comment was referring to $369 which was in the original title. Thanks for negging me for pointing the obvious.

  • Just got my machine and have been playing around with it.

Do your grinds go everywhere? I feel that the grinds fall down closer to the machine rather than to the middle.

    Anyone experience the same?

    • +1

That was my first 2 days as well. Grind into a shot glass or similar first and then transfer to the portafilter. Stick the shot glass right up to grinder mouth and press down with your finger to grind. I only put in the dose of beans required for one and then repeat. No mess now.

  • Anyone had any update on how long does it take for redemption confirmation or delivery?

    • For the barista kit? 3-4 weeks

      • Should it be of concern if it's longer than that time already?

        • they put message on the website about delays

          Bonus Gift COVID-19 Impact
Due to the current situation with COVID-19 we are experiencing delivery delays for our bonus coffee gift. We're working hard to send our gifts to you and your understanding during these times is greatly appreciated.

          • @humdingaling: Got mine last week

            • @Herb Utsmellz: i got mine yesterday

only thing i really wanted out of it was the tamper…the one it comes with is pretty bad
was tempted to go out buy aftermarket one if it didnt show up soon

            • @Herb Utsmellz: Did you get any confirmation when you placed the claim? I did mine a few weeks ago but never received any email or anything.

        • Did you purchase before the deal was posted?

          • @Herb Utsmellz: nope but i did look at prior deals
it was actually cheaper for the unit and it got less up votes

i supposed Bonus kit (and probably many more people WFH) really made this a deal shine
i know thats what got my hooked in…the WFH bit

if i held out i probably would of just got the Breville BEx instead

it seems to have a better following with regards to hints/tips/videos/forums/after-market accessories

    • Accidentally (truely) ordered 2, and both arrived (today), coffee machine came on 14th.
      Mostly wanted the thermometer.

Pretty happy with coffee machine so far.
