Been waiting for this to go on special for some time now. I have the original Rhythm+ and still works fine after 3+ years. Only down side is the 8 hour battery life which is an issue for all day rides. Wanted this for basically the improved battery life.
I've gone through 3 various models of Garmin chest straps and they usually fail after 6 months. Even when I clean them after each use.
Gone through one Polar one which lasted a bit long but also eventually died.Accuracy is good and doesn't have that delay I sometimes got with the Garmin straps where it could take 10 minutes to get a good reading.
Have you tried the Suunto ones? they are really good and comfy too.
No I haven't. I read the reviews on dcrainmaker and and went with the Rhythm+.
How is the accuracy of this compared to a chest strap?
I've gone back to using a chest strap as my watch-wrist based HRM wasn't responding as expected particularly when doing intervals.
