You cannot go belly up as an electricity provider in Australia.
Literally all you are doing is buying electricity, jacking up the price and reselling it at the world's highest prices. Nothing productive occurs at any point which is why the electricity sector lost 30% productivity in fives years while morons dribbled a theory about it being efficient.
In this case the customers are even pre-paying for it, not that they understand what they're buying according to the ACCC.
What about the impact of the solar boom? Plenty of customers receiving credits instead of bills. The concept of energy retailing will soon be turned on its head with batteries, VPPs and energy trading.
Except when its customers stop paying their accounts due to hardship and the company still have to pay wholesalers

The credits can only be used towards your energy bills. The credits and bonus cannot be withdrawn or redeemed for cash.

Anyone taking offer be aware that Globird do change their rates often, so suggest check latest rates before taking this offer. I just moved my parents to Globird because they Were Cheapest a couple of months ago. Now they are over $100 (annual cost) to other providers in their area.

I compared to my provider (ReAmped) and it said my bill would increase by 11.3 %!! It did say I could call them as they don't like to be beaten on price but didn't bother. I was with them 2 years ago, their price rise that year put them as more expensive than Tango. Had no complaints while I was with them, but they did increase their price a lot hence why I left.
Been with GloBird for over two years. They only increased my rates once in January 2020. No issues with them.
